Willie Taggart has agreed to become the next Florida State head football coach. This episode discusses some of the twists and turns involved in the hiring process and what kind of coach FSU is getting. In brief, while every coaching hire comes with risk, Taggart appears to be a great fit, and the transition should be very smooth. (NOTE: This episode was delayed to allow Taggart time to meet with his players. It was initially scheduled to release at 1:45 PM EST, but time zones matter: Taggart was going to be meeting with his players at 1:30 PM PST rather than EST, which I hadn’t properly factored in. Thus the delay until the news broke.)
