Welcome back to the Wilmington Weather Report! This week I interviewed David and Owen, members of our local chapter of the Democratic Socialist of America! On this episode we discuss socialism as a whole, its history (including the US's sabotage of it in Latin America and elsewhere) and what the DSA is doing locally.

I should also add that the bus stop bench project discussed in this episode is under attack from the local Proud Boys chapter as well as the City of Wilmington. If you'd like to fight back, you can join the DSA's letter campaign which can be found at https://www.wilmingtondsa.org/

If you're reading this when it premiers, there is also a City Council Meeting you can attend on 8/18!

Find more about the local dsa chapter at their aforementioned website as well as @ilmdsa on instagram.

We have begun yet another week, and it is time once again for yet another episode dropping tomorrow! (We’ll see how long my executive dysfunction allows me to maintain a weekly release schedule)

This week we spoke with Joel, of our local chapter of Democratice Socialists of America, who headed up the (now former) Avelo Airlines boycott!

While this week has been a somber one, it was nice to celebrate a small victory. Joel is super knowledgeable on the topic of Avelo and its history of conducting deportation flights, I feel like I learned a lot and you will too!
