On Ask Win today (Friday, February 1, 2019), Best-Selling Author, Win C welcomes Parricia Mayo. Parricia was born to families of entrepreneurs and historic leaders several generations deep, and so naturally, Parricia is a monumental screw-up. At least, by conventional terms. Parricia have backpacked across the country thanks to a wicked case of writer’s block, and know well the sting of a paddle because Parricia just couldn’t resist taking apart my dad’s coveted calculator. Name a mistake - Parricia have probably made it. Twice. Parricia’s biggest mistake was assuming longstanding companies could actually sustain the leads they claimed they needed. By the time Parricia learned otherwise, her clients were crumbling under the pressure of bad reviews and grossly overworked staff choosing to jump ship at just the wrong moment. The worst part — Parricia only build organic campaigns. Nobody but God could stop the flow. So in 2004 Parricia caught wind of this thing called Virtual Assistants, and started building distributed teams as a means of flexing with these sudden surges in demand. In 2007, Parricia literally wrote the book on training people who don’t speak English natively to consistently do what experts do, the way experts do it. Parricia have been obsessed with minimizing losses in creative and technical human work ever since. Conventional systems like Agile and Waterfall were built for the conveyor line, and sorely fail at meeting the multi-dimensional flows of human thought. That’s why Parricia is The Un-Editor — quite proud to be unconventional. Because if conventional methods always worked, “disruption” would never be a threat.
