Win or Learn

In this episode, we talk about what it actually means to be an account manager for at a marketing agency, how it differs from new business sales, and why you should always be putting yourself in the customer's shoes.

Hello and welcome to the first-ever Salespect podcast. A series of short episodes where Chris and Jake discuss sales, marketing, content, data and lead generation.

In this episode, we scratch the surface into how sales has evolved in 2020 and how this has affected salespeople and their customers.

We also discuss:

Jake Harris has been working in new business and account management for 10 years, starting his career selling double-glazing by cold calling to now founding his own content marketing agency working with brands such as Blue Prism Cloud.

Chris Slater is the Head of New Business at XCM and has been working in new business and account management for 10 years in the data marketing industry.

We hope you enjoy this episode.

Late last night Boris Johnson leaked to the press that a national lockdown is imminent. Speculation this will be from Wednesday 4th, and a press conference will be held on Monday 2nd.

Can somebody explain WHY this is being leaked to the press before the weekend and before briefing the public.

The morning show where we react to what's trending on Twitter and what has happened whilst we have been asleep.

Reacting in real-time to what's going on in the world.

Hunter Biden emails confirmed to be authentic, David Schwimmer hologram, The Apprentice, and why we need motivation.

This is a daily show, we will be back tomorrow, follow for updates, connect with me on Twitter @mrjakeharris and see you tomorrow.

The what-the-hell-happened-last-night-when-I-was-asleep-show (or something along those lines).

Every morning I do exactly the same thing. Pour a coffee, flick open Twitter and see what's going on in the world.  The Twitter trending tab is a special place. When you have been asleep for 8 hours (LOL I wish) a lot has happened in the world, and Twitter is the perfect destination to be caught up to speed. Well, today I woke up, poured a coffee, and opened Twitter but this time I plugged the microphone in.

Disclaimer: I have a blocked nose and a £20 microphone. You will hear me breathe, but that's okay because it proves I'm alive.

I'll be back tomorrow.
