Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony are joined by Alice Babij (Bobby) as they gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father greets everyone and opens today’s show with prayer before discussing how the priests are fighting in the trenches in listening to the complex realities of people’s lives. After the break, Alice brings up a Blue Mass being held at St Nicholas Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church fallen officer Michael Ceriale. Father Anthony with Christina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father greets everyone and the group catches up to the leadup to All Souls Day. After prayer Father discusses the topic of the spiritual realm and angels from a Catholic professor, as well as his sacrifice as a Priest in setting aside the time waiting in holding the Sacrament of Confession for the salvation of other souls. After a break Father talks about the Final Judgement we face once we die and how God loves us even in that final event of our life. Father wraps up talking about how we can be saints with God through active participation, The Beatitudes, and self-sacrifice before God.

Father Koys takes us on another “brain wrinkling” walk on this Feast of St Simon and Jude as he discusses how they were martyred together evangelizing in Mesopotamia. Today Father Koys further discusses the German Catholic philosopher Joseph Pieper’s book “Leisure: The Basis of Culture,” and how leisure should be time for renewal with God. Before wrapping up Father Koys points out post-war Germany needs true worship to rebuild itself. St James is sponsoring an All Saints Day Cemetery Walk this Sunday November 1st.

Father Anthony with gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father greets everyone and the group catches up after a weekend of weddings and a funeral.  Father and Tony discuss the topic of cemeteries comparing Mount Carmel and Queen of Heaven cemeteries. After prayer, Father discusses the topic of death and how the seasons line up with our Church calendar. Father wraps up talking about the Apostle John and the difference between the Christian definition of Love in contrast to subjectivism.

It’s Monday and Lauretta is here today to talk on the topic of prayer in light of a recent controversy regarding our Bishops meeting our President. Lauretta talks about why we should pray as Catholics, especially for our public officials, regardless of whether we like them or not. Later, Lauretta talks about one of the bishops who was there, Bishop Jeffery Grob of Milwaukee, why he visited the President, and why we should not conditionalize our bishops and priests for meeting with our leaders. She closes to talk about the importance of our vote as Catholics and why we should elect public officials who will safeguard our rights and perform God’s will in office.

Father Anthony with Tony gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish.  Father Anthony is joined by his guest Alice Babij (Bobby) today.  Father greets everyone and they briefly chat about St. John Paul II, as Alice references his formal recognition that laid the ground work for their martyrdom.  Father leads us in prayer, then turns our attention to St John Capistrano who’s feast day is celebrated today.  Father discusses the readings from yesterday focusing on how when one experiences conversion their life not only changes but those around them also change as others who are not living according to God tend to walk away as they struggling facing the reality that they are not living as they should.  After a break, Father welcomes back Alice Babij (Bobby) who introduces the book “The Little Way of the Brown Scapular”, by Rev Scott Haynes.  The book reveals the Brown Scapular as a sign of Mary’s maternal care and a pledge of belonging to her son. Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish.  As today is the Feast Day of St. John Paul II, Father discusses the importance of his papacy to his own novitiate and to the entire world.  After prayer Father shares writings and quotes of St. Jon Paul II referencing how they were not only impactful; but prophetic as well. After a break Father reads from his writings, adding commentary and discussion applying them to the times then and now.  They discuss how well known and beloved he was around the entire world.  Father discusses how Christ centered St. Joh Paul II was while recognizing that this quality is missing in so many Christians today calling us once again to metanoia.  Father points out that the information he’s shared regarding his life, his writings and his contributions to the world are but a small reference to his legacy as he could go on talking about this for hours.  One of St John Paul II’s widely recognized and impactful quotes being, “We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel.”  Father Anthony couldn’t agree more.

Father Koys takes us on another “brain wrinkling” walk as he discusses the German Catholic philosopher Joseph Pieper’s book “Leisure: The Basis of Culture.” Today Father Koys discusses the need for leisure in our society, connecting it to a desire to be with God and as a matter of enjoyment, not merely wasting our time. He further offers historical insight into this topic discussing the rise of modern philosophy under Kant, Descartes, and Hume during the challenge of the Church’s authority by modern science. Before wrapping up Father Koys highlights the philosophical conflict between Kant’s secularist insistence truth is all that is proven vs Pieper’s Catholic insistence we are revealed truths outside merely science.

Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father greets everyone and the group catches up after the weekend.  Father discusses how the “winds have definitely changed” as he references the chaos throughout the world, mentioning current events that demonstrate that order is lost and how we need to return to God. He poses the question, “How do we get on without God?” After prayer, Father discusses the diabolical orientation, reminding us that good always outweighs evil and we must choose to live virtuous lives.  He discusses living a virtuous live. What is required to live a virtuous live and how does our time today differ from past times when this was more prevalent.  Father wraps up the show discussing how we should behave when we encounter someone absent of virtue. He points out that the very thing that is lacking is nourishment, instruction, witness and confirmation on how we are to live our lives in accordance with the will of God, for when we remove God we focus on self and it leads to idolatry.  This is what has led to the chaos.

It’s Monday and Lauretta’s guest, Maria Vadia an immigrant who experienced and suffered under the Cuban Communist regime, is here today to talk about the dangers of Communism and Marxism and the threat these atheistic ideologies pose to the rights and faith of Catholics in America when it is normalized. Maria goes over how Cuba, a largely Catholic country was subverted and taken over by Communist subversives and how it serves as a warning to Catholics in the US as a situation to stay far away from in light of the upcoming elections in two weeks and the Communist riots in Paris, France. Maria further goes over how she returned to her home town in Cuba decades later to spread the Word of God, and saw how much Communism stifles human freedom and degrades society under an atheistic totalitarian regime when it takes hold of a nation. Lauretta urges the audience to exercise their right to vote, to keep atheistic and dangerous ideologies like Communism far away from our public offices, and that Christ is the answer to the deadly ideology.
