Father greets everyone and chats about how psychology has become a false god of sorts since the 1970’s and the writing off of faith as just mythology. He then focuses on the importance of living our lives in spite of earthy suffering as Christians in discussions on Vatican II, the choice angels and humans have in eternal salvation or condemnation, the sufferings of the prophet Jeremiah, and Peter’s rebuke of Christ in the Gospels. They discuss what that means and for us to be conscious of whether we are truly leading Christian lives as were called to as Catholics.

It’s Monday and Lauretta’s guest, Alicia Cergnul talks about her nonprofit organization Sent Global Mission, which is dedicated to feeding the body and soul of people worldwide. Lauretta talks with Alicia about her calling to help those in need. After seeing tragedies and the effects of the cycle of poverty around the world Alicia founded Sent Global Mission as she was guided by her Catholic faith. She heeded the call in Mozambique and has built a medical clinic and other charitable works such as feeding the hungry and giving education in practical skills and faith to those who have little to no means. Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony are joined by Alice Babij (Bobby).  Father welcomes us and mentions the positive feedback he’s received regarding the student’s reverent behavior when they attend Church events at other Churches, the effect of the school’s core teachings in Catholicism. After Prayer, Alice returns today to share the book, “The Three Marys at the Foot of the Cross” by Fr. Scott Haynes.  In the book, Fr. Haynes invites women to walk spiritually to Calgary alongside these women.  In the reflections we come to see that feminine love, when tested by suffering, is one of the strongest loves found. They chat about the Book of Exodus as the people grumble about their situation. The group recognizes how we, the people of today do that also.  Father gently reminding us that we take one day at a time and that we focus on God to get through the struggles of each day.

It’s Monday and Lauretta has as her guest, Dr. Peter Howard, Founder and President of the Fulton Sheen Institute Movement.  He joins Lauretta today to discuss Fulton Sheen and his upcoming beatification on September 24, 2026 at the Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  Dr, Howard shares a bit of his life journey and how he came to connect with Fulton Sheen, the impact that connection had and how it changed his life.  Lauretta and Dr. Howard discuss details of Fulton Sheen’s life and his works as well as the miracle leading to his beatification.  They share details around the beautification itself, the all-day conference sponsored by the Fulton Sheen Institute that will take place the day before the beautification as well as the Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe in November of this year.  Please visit the websites for greater information and to register for the events.

Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony, gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish.  Father Anthony is joined by his guest Alice Babij (Bobby) today.  Father greets everyone and they briefly chat about the need to know the saints, read about them and see their humanity.  After prayer, Father talks about the life of St. Jane de Chantal, who’s official feast day is August 12th but was honored on August 21st in traditional liturgical calendar.  He reads from her writings as he continues to emphasize the need for saints in today’s time.  After a break, Father welcomes back Alice Babij (Bobby) who introduces the book “The Chaplet of St. Michael”, by Rev Scott Haynes.  The book explores the saint’s chaplet, known as the Rosary of the Angels.  It honors St. Michael and the nine Angelic Choirs.  It was approved and indulgenced by the venerable Pope Pius IX in 1851.  Those who pray this chaplet have an escort of nine angels and daily prayer of this chaplet delivers his continual assistance and delivery from purgatory.  The book is available at priestlypress.com.

Father Koys takes us on another “brain wrinkling” walk as he discusses the importance of educating young Catholics on the numerous heresies of the Church and how to confront them in our modern day. Father Koys dives in particular to the Heresy of Modernism and the challenge of explaining the negative part of Modernism to today’s youth. He explains Modernism as matter of Novelty vs Tradition, novelty comes and goes but tradition is timeless, both new and old. Father Koys further goes into the aspect of Agnosticism in the Modernist heresy, on the notion that religion is not found outside us but comes from within and that the Church understands man’s reason is flawed and subject to a higher intellect than himself.
