Windshield Time

Thank you for listening and I hope all is well! Here is a fun way to think about ‘surprises’ that I heard in an Alan Watts speech - for me it has helped grow a foundational belief / mindfulness of, ‘I don’t know,’ which in turn (for me) leads to humility. :)

I hope all is well, THANK YOU for listening! :) Here are a handful quotes (from the the unquantifiable number) that I have come to keep close - because of the mindfulness and peace that I feel they bring me… ‘as we trudge the road of happy destiny.’ :) :)

Wayne Dyer once asked, “what comes out of an orange when you squeeze it?Though more importantly, why?” A reflection on something that came out of me this weekend, and how it has refocused me the last 48 hours to check myself and try to do better, and to keep that focus moving forward….one day at a time. :)

I am wide open to feedback on this one!! I thought this up a few years back asking myself, “what example could we use to go along with us asking them to try and pay attention for one hour during practice?” Dr. Bruce Lipton triggered the idea when he talked about ‘we get 90k thoughts a day, how are you going to spend them?’ Next thing I know I’m handing out M&M’s! :). No better example of how sidetracked I can get…. HA! Though, on that note - I have come to believe that SPONTANEITY brings us the greatest enjoyment in life. That may not be something we’ve ever thought before, or would believe; case in point the old saying ‘nobody likes surprises…’ … yet there are many examples of how we may be off on our thinking (COMPLETELY ) about that, too. :) Anyways, the plan became a different one, and that’s the magic!

I heard this saying years back and it didn’t make much sense to me…. (side quote) “when the student is ready the teacher will appear,” - quite some time later it hit me like a freight train, BOOM! (John Madden esque), as to what I perceived from the words. :) I think it’s a fun and understandable way to draw out a message, though please share if it provokes any thoughts with ‘YOU!’ Peace

A free spooling share about an experience that helped me grasp the saying, “I, am not just my Mind.” Or also put, “our brain is not just our Mind.” It makes sense to me in reflecting on where I’ve ‘lived from’ in my conscious life- that the voice in my head and my consciousness is ‘who I am.’ It has been fascinating to start acknowledging how much more than that WE ARE. :)

Can we acknowledge that there is ‘Bad’ and ‘Good’ in all of us, and could acknowledging the Bad lead to creating more ‘Good?’
