#WindyCityJoes #RomanAlexander #OverMe
Windy City Joe's Michael & Jackson catch up with a good friend and one of their most entertaining guests yet, Roman Alexander to find out what he has been up to, what's new, and where he's headed.
Now in his early 20s, Alexander has nearly two decades of performing. The first songs he learned on guitar were ""Ring of Fire"" and ""Folsom Prison Blues"", thanks to a childhood love of Johnny Cash. His mother’s love of Elvis Presley was also influential and you can hear the clever references to the King in his songs.
Alexander moved to Nashville to get his music heard. He posted performances and gained a strong following, which led to signing a publishing and development deal with Twelve6 Entertainment. He began working with Jerry Flowers, a top writer in Nashville and Keith Urban’s bandleader, on refining his songwriting and elevating his live show.
The creative partnership led to Between You & Me, co-produced by Flowers and Jared Keim. Alexander co-wrote four of five songs, along with Nashville heavyweights Dylan Altman, Jason Gantt, Scott Stepakoff and John Caldwell. The EP addresses the push and pull of love, from new romance on “Cocktail Conversations” to emotional entanglements on “Bad for Me” You’ll pick up on the understated qualities of lyrics and melodies.
With Between You & Me, Roman Alexander has assembled a collection of songs that proves he’s paid his dues, honed his craft and is ready to stake his claim in country music.

#WindyCityJoes #DaltonandtheSheriffs #WideAwake
Windy City Joe's Michael & Jackson sat down with the incredibly talented Scully from Dalton & The Sheriffs while he was in the car outside of his kid's parent teacher conference.
Fueled by a fervent fan base, Dalton & the Sheriffs has been many things over the past 11 years, from an acoustic act to pay the bills, to a nationally touring outfit of hired guns. But — at long last — it is finally something it has never been before: a true band. The additions of Ryan Jackson (guitars and keys), Jay Tagg (guitars), Dennis Walsh (bass), and Jake Wertman (drums) coalesced in the moments before the pandemic during a show at the legendary Paradise Rock Club in Boston on March 10, 2020. Rather than standing still during the pandemic, the band became a corporation, sold shares to their friends and released 23 new songs under the watchful ears of producer Kevin Billingslea at Halo Studio. Armed with a two albums’ worth of new material, the band has launched an aggressive touring schedule, highlighted by their headlining turn at the 5,000 capacity Leader Bank Pavilion on August 27th, 2021.

Windy City Joe's Michael & Jackson sat down with the incredibly talented and humble human that is Grady Spencer just before he rocked out at Carol's Pub
Born in Lubbock and raised in the country outside of a town called Paducah, Grady Spencer’s roots dig deep into Texas soil. By day, Spencer is a superintendent for a commercial construction company. By any other time, he’s songwriter and front-man of Grady Spencer & The Work.
The Work was originally formed in 2013 on the stage of Paradox Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Drummer Blake Sager was joined by bassist Johnny Hatcher in 2016, followed by guitarist Tyler Martin in 2018. The Work’s music reflects its members: honest, good-timing, with a nod to blue-collar roots.
