  • 2 HOUR EPISDOE - Phoenix Calida, Chelsey Sprengeler, William J Jackson, Eric H.
    Hey.
So we just went live from a third party source and we couldn't see comments... Or so we thought.
After I ended it, I saw a side panel where facebook comments were showing up so my bad for not responding to those.
I'll be looking for that next time.
And I'm now considering even harder, a premium account with this service to get all the bells and whistling.
That live was our final segment for a two hour episode I'm about to upload because the factory still has random azz 7 day work weeks, so I want to make sure I put some dope stuff up.
I mixed in some old raps I did between most of the segments and clip from from the artist Brika at one point.
For this episode, we have Phoenix and I doing regular news and comment. We have a segment from a SWOPcast (sex workers rights) episode and a segment from Talk FURIE mixed in as well.
I think it will be a cool audio experience for anyone that chooses to stream or download this full episode.

    Hey gang.
We have a mix episode with an old rap and a new rap tucked in the bumpers between segments.
SWOPcast hits the Traffick Panic once again. Talk FURIE hits independent media and populism as usual. And in the end, Phoemix and William do our Wine Cellar thing.
This mix show has segments from full programs that are going up on patreon as public posts.
We do have patreon subscribers and they want what they support to be publicly available.

The People, No: A Brief History of Anti-Populism

Rarely does a work of history contain startling implications for the present, but in The People, No Thomas Frank pulls off that explosive effect by showing us that everything we think we know about populism is wrong. Today “populism” is seen as a frightening thing, a term pundits use to describe the racist philosophy of Donald Trump and European extremists. But this is a mistake.
The real story of populism is an account of enlightenment and liberation; it is the story of American democracy itself, of its ever-widening promise of a decent life for all. Taking us from the tumultuous 1890s, when the radical left-wing Populist Party―the biggest mass movement in American history―fought Gilded Age plutocrats to the reformers’ great triumphs under Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman, Frank reminds us how much we owe to the populist ethos. Frank also shows that elitist groups have reliably detested populism, lashing out at working-class concerns. The anti-populist vituperations by the Washington centrists of today are only the latest expression.
Frank pummels the elites, revisits the movement’s provocative politics, and declares true populism to be the language of promise and optimism. The People, No is a ringing affirmation of a movement that, Frank shows us, is not the problem of our times, but the solution for what ails us.

Dow Jones futures rose solidly early Thursday, along with S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq futures, amid fresh hopes for a new stimulus deal. The stock market rally attempt had another solid session on Wednesday, with the major indexes rallying on stimulus hopes, but finishing well off big intraday highs as optimism faded.

  • Black Woman Attacked With Glass Bottle And Of Course We Tangent
    Hey gang.
Caught this in the news and thought we should cover it before I head to the factory  to do a night shift.

A hateful woman hurled a glass bottle at a Black woman jogging in Queens, video shows, and told her to “go back to Africa n----r," according to a police source.
The 37-year-old victim, who lives in the Woodside neighborhood, did not report the Aug. 17 incident on 53rd Place and Broadway until a friend saw the witness video on social media.
The video released by cops Wednesday shows the suspect sipping from the bottle as she approaches the corner, then suddenly hurl it at a Black woman running by.
“Get out, get the f--k out and go back to Africa, n----r!" the suspect yells, according to the source.
The victim turns around and appears confused, then jumps out of the way to avoid the bottle, the video shows.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident, police said.
