  • Apartment living - Mission Statement - Street Harassment
    Hey gang.
This is the last episode before I move out of the house and to an apartment in the more hippie part of town.
On this one, I'll riff a little bit about coming up with a mission statement or a goal of the show, if you will. We'll read a little bit of bad news.  I'll riff a bit about knowledge vs money.
This episode is going to run over the 30 minutes and into 45 minutes, so if you listen live you'll want to use the call in number.
    (347) 857-3937
In the end We'll get into street harassment for a moment with Britt who writes the Derma Queen blog which I'll link below.
Shout out to Diane Gee of Wild Wild Left Radio.
I'm able to follow in her footsteps, but I would like to follow her path.

  • The New Pope - Francis Flavored Koolaid & Street Harassment
I really don't want to see kind, caring, nice folks getting duped by the lip service of the new Pope and drink down this sweet, tangy Francis Flavored Koolaid.
I'll try to riff out a bit of a narrative on that in the first half.
Then we'll hear an old verse that I've played before to bridge the show. and in the second half, I'll riff about about Street Harassment.
Here's a link to my homegirl's blog about skin care products.

  • Patriarchal Values, DermaQueen & Rhym-o-Graphy
    Hey gang.
I'd like to address my feminist folks out there with some of my thoughts.
I'll kick a little talk on your male co-workers, patriarchal values, and what is NOT an apology.
I'll also read from a blog by my friend in the social networks which I'll link to below.
I put the Rhym-o-Graphy at the end because now I'll be going into songs/tracks I did between the ages of 19-21. (I'm 30 now) and I don't want to drive listeners away with the way I address certain things in those years.  I was very apathetic and literally "ignorant".

  • THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GOOD COP
    Hey gang.
So this whole episode is just reading from a thread off my personal facebook page that I started with the same title as the show.
I got some interesting replies and decided to share them on the podcast.
Here the links to get in on these discussions...

  • Rhyme-o-graphy 9 - Rape Culture Cyber Bullying
    Hey gang.
In this one we'll go over the verses I kicked on Amaculan's Bad Lad album.
The first one being from a track called the baddest, where Amaculan and I continued our cypher from my track called "Silver Chucks" on the previous album we covered. It's fairly hardcore... actually pretty darn hard core and that's why I just cut the hook/chorus out of this podcast.
The second one is from "Self Assassanition".  This is a not-so-sad suicide song.  The idea was to talk about auto-euthanasia without having this "Woe Is Me" vibe about it.
The third and final track from this whole era of my involvment with establishing our name locally and letting folks on our hip hop scene know that our crew was here and serious is called "NO GAMES"....  This was probably the most irresponsible desctructive thing I've ever done behind a microphone.
I did not write this track.  I just freestyled (improved) the whole thing, from the verse, to the hook, to the adlibs, to even the background falsetto singing and humming.
It's what and who I talk about and the context with which I talk about these folks that made this track a horrible decision to put on an album and put out in the streets.
From here we'll start hearing my tracks I did between the ages of 19 and 21.  Most of which didn't go on albums, but on mixtapes, compilations, and sold as singles.

For the rest of this show, I'll do some reading and commenting on another part of rape culture that I didn't know exists and it makes me rethink my position on this thing called cyber bullying.

  • Coming out as.... & Mr. Cee, Janet Mock, Lavern Cox
Hey gang. So the gears are shifted for this episode and I'm back on LGBTQIA issues.
I'll be running my mouth about Coming out as...
Along with the discussion between Janet Mock and Lavern Cox about Mr. Cee and his prefernce in Sex Workers.
Then I'll do a little news reading that will be our show.
    Note-
This episode is not cut into segments.
It really is just me riffing for 30 minutes.

  • What We're Capable Of....
I'm calling this episode "What we're capable of"    Because that's what these 3 stories are about.   The first is what we're capable of in a society that is completely run by the holy book and the men that say everything in it is true.   The Second Story is where the title came from when Og Killa - The Z-Man's Wife said she doesn't know what he's capable of, when I'm pretty sure that globally, folks know what he's capable of.   The third story is how a parent will choose to raise the unit of offspring without a specific religion because with freethought, that's what we're capable of.    I drop a little personal journals and that's your gosh darn show.

    Sounds like a good show.

  • Bumper Sticker Rhetoric & Rhym-o-graphy previews
    Hey Gang.
As the Rhym-o-graphy moves foward I'll keep it in the best chronological order possible though there were over extra productive weeks and months where I've made a cluster of material that centered around one point in my human developement.

For this one we'll play some later joints but we won't be discussing them and I'll yack it up a bit about bumper sticker rhetoric and why we don't have that luxary.
I posted a fun little video with pictures previewing this show.
If you'd like to hear the first song with better audio quality and see some fun pictures...
