  • Renewable Energy In Scotland
    Hey gang.

Scotland has become a world leader in sourcing its electricity from renewables, after a record year in 2017 for creating eco-friendly energy, figures show.
The nation got more than two-thirds – 68.1 per cent – of its electricity from green schemes last year – an increase of 26 per cent on the year before.
The figure was a rise of 14.1 percentage points from the 54 per cent reached in 2016.

  • Rebekah Charleston Is A Lying Scammer Willing To Harm Sex Workers For A Come Up
Let’s start with the fact that “Rebekah Charleston” is the name she goes by now. Her real name back in 2006 – when she was busted for money laundering and tax evasion – was “Rebekah Kay Dean, a.k.a., Nicole A. Wilson.”
And for argument’s sake, let’s take her story at face value…because as you’ll see, even if you believe her claims of victimization, her claims to having been “trafficked” in Lyon County’s legal brothels simply hold no water.
In an interview a Ft. Worth Magazine, Charleston/Dean/Wilson says by the time she was 16 she’d become a drug abuser and dropped out of school. Her parents, she claims, then institutionalized her in a private Texas Christian school where she “did manual labor in the fields, cleaned churches and ate old donated food with bugs in them.”

  • Iceberg twice the size of New York City set to break off Antarctic ice shelf
    Hey gang.
This is a segment from a fully produced patreon only episode that can be found here. patreon.com/winecellarmediafund
An iceberg roughly twice the size of New York City could soon break off an ice shelf in Antarctica, according to NASA scientists who are monitoring an enormous crack that is spreading across the sprawling slab of ice.
The space agency recently released satellite photos of Antarctica’s Brunt Ice Shelf, where a rift can be seen cutting across the shelf. NASA scientists said the crack had been stable for about 35 years, but has since been creeping north at a pace of about 2.5 miles per year.

    Hey gang.
This is one of two clips from a full episode that we are posting to the free podcast feed.
The full episode is avalable to patreon subscribers only.
Consensual and legal sex workers’ lives have been upended since the United States Congress passed a bill with the stated intention of helping trafficked persons in the sex trade - and it’s also made it harder to find and help trafficking victims. The bill, titled Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (FOSTA) in the House and Stop Enabling Sex Trafficking Act (SESTA) in the Senate, passed by wide margins despite outcry from sex workers, non-faith based anti-trafficking orgs, and peer-led sex worker rights groups.
Before Donald Trump even signed the bill, sites like Backpage.com had already been seized and, according to sex work harm reduction organizers I’ve been working with to document company actions, over 150 sites or services have been taken down or currently discriminate against or outright ban sex workers.
Due to language intentionally conflating consensual sex work with trafficking, SESTA/FOSTA allows websites to be prosecuted not only if sex traffickers use their services, but consensual sex workers as well. This actually increases trafficking by creating opportunities for pimps and abusive managers to prey on displaced workers suddenly denied their main income stream. Groups like Amnesty International warn that further criminalizing sex work hurts everyone involved in trading sex, including trafficking and abuse victims.

  • Police Texts With Alt Right Patriot Prayer Group Exposed
    Hey gang.
This is a serious a clip from a full comedy episode of which will be patreon only first and then go public in 5 days.
"We have a large group of antifa trying to flank us an you. We are stopping them for now... but not sure how long."
This is one of hundreds of text messages sent between Portland Police Bureau (PPB) Lt. Jeff Niiya and Joey Gibson, leader of Vancouver alt-right group Patriot Prayer over the past two years. Like many messages discovered in a records request made in August by the Portland Mercury, it reflects many of the public's suspicions that the Portland police have been sympathetic—if not protective—of the right-wing extremist group.
It's not unusual for PPB officers to contact activists who may be planning a protest. But usually, these conversations exist only so PPB can quickly get in touch with a protest group to get an idea of how many people will show up to participate or to ask about general schedule. While Niiya does ask Gibson about crowd sizes and planned future protests, he also chose to regularly give Gibson a heads up about counter-protesters and sympathize with Gibson's frustrations.
