Melissa and her husband run a top flight wine tour company base in Napa California. This insightful and charming interview explores the world of wine tourism up close and personal. It was recorded at the Wright Corner Mercantile in Los Carneros Napa.

Ralph interviews Spencer Isetta, part of the team at his family winery, Capo Isetta, which has its tasting room on the Sonoma Plaza. This family has so many connections in the area make their venture work, and really keep a family affair. 

Some of Ralph's observations about the affect of tasting room design on the winery experience and ultimately wine sales. It's interesting what you notice over twenty years and thousands of visits to tasting rooms in Napa, Sonoma and the rest of California. 

For a couple of years we've been working on a documentary which is turning into a book about the healing spas of the North Bay. This was my commentary for a recent episode on Wine Country at Work on KSVY Sonoma. 

Ralph went up onto Mount Veeder to visit the Enchanted Hills camp, and interviewed Heidi Dittloff, the meeting planner for this project for the Lighthouse, a San Francisco non-profit that has been helping visually impaired people since the late 1800's. The site was almost destroyed in the 2017 fire, but they made it better than ever. 

Ralph interviewed the winemaker Steve Reynolds, owner of Reynolds Family Winery, the mad scientist of Napa. They explore an alternate to using sulfites in wine.

This is a great interview with Ralph interviewing his colleague and friend Barry Smith, whose famous license plate 'Why Spit' is seen all over Napa and Sonoma.
