Many of you may remember the controversial boycott of the restaurant chain Chik Fil A over their support for anti-LGBTQ organizations. A recent podcast episode of Majority 54 focused on a discussion between host Jason Kander and LGBTQ advocate Shane Windemeyer. Shane ended up developing a relationship with the owner of Chik Fil A after the boycott happened, and through that relationship, changed his mind.
We're all for engagement and support (and we LOVE the Crooked Podcasts), but this conversation was a little problematic. We break it down, reveal our own ignorance on some stuff, and think about the complicated nature of reconciliation and forgiveness.
