  • Winging It Episode 6: Self Healing 101, for Us
Self-Healing 101 - We jump right into it! What works for you today? It may not work for you tomorrow. Thought processes we learn in our younger years do shape us in life, but what continues to work for us now?

Our trust in our bodies, meditation, yoga and stretching, and being still, all help us quiet the mind. Carving out time to connect to Self and give ourselves a priority. Finding "flow" in our daily life, from painting to washing dishes, and listening to our thoughts as we work helps us.

Sometimes, though, life keeps us going and we don't have, or seem to have, the time to slow down. So an everyday practice may look different from someone else's. Amy focuses on meditation and yoga, Heather focuses on breath-work and writing.

Stress is part of daily life, and we see it in the younger generations as well. How do we share resilience techniques with them? What are tips and guidance you have that work for you, that you can offer to others?

    Just breathe.

  • Winging It Episode 5: Where to Start? and Holding Memories
How do you convince yourself to *Start* something when you're still learning? We learn to help ourselves and learn to help others, but how do we share the things we've learned? Information changes constantly. Life-long learning continues.

When we have many diverse interests (writing & massage & podcasting & yoga & antiques...) how do they tie in to the work we're doing? Our deeper Self work and the work and energy we share with others combines "all the things." (Yes, Amy's hands were encompassing the whole space while waving in the air during this part of the convo.)

Stuff. There's lots of 'stuff' in our lives. We talk about the energy flow in our lives, including those antiques (and the ghosts), that we work with. Sharing an old item with a blessing means passing along better energy for others. And how it's more than "just a doll" or "just a collectible" and we feel like we need to hold these memories for others. The conversation becomes "is this mine to carry?" as we discuss Worth vs Memory. How do we realize what we're keeping for the right reasons and how do we let things go in a healthy, non-regrettable way?

  • Winging It Episode 4: Self Worth and Self Awareness
What works for you? What works for me? What are we working on? And what do we *want* to work on?

Heather knows "how" to do the work that matters, she just has a hard time sharing that part of what she does with the larger world. Amy discusses sharing the things she's working on, and accountability for new directions in life. Who gives us permission to stand up and speak, to share the things we've learned? And how do we calm down the internal fear (or monkey mind or demons...) and keep moving forward with self compassion?

Yoga and Bodywork can be beneficial in helping us to breathe through tension, reset in a moment, and find our center to be able to move again. What brings us back to that moment, that breath, and understanding the deeper things to work on in our lives? We'll get there when we get there!

  • Winging It Episode 2: Holding Space and Showing Up
We launch into recording because we're eager to discuss what's going on in our lives - this is why we're here. It's not polished. And that's okay. We show up, and we hold space for each other - as-is, as we are, right here, in the moment.

How do you show up, or engage in conversations, with your family and friends? How do you be yourself and still hold space for others to be themselves?
