After Reading about the Zeppelin bombing of London in 1915, it occurred to me that a "Leviathan" could also be in the sky and I began shaping "Leviathan" to the "Zeppelin" mixes which mostly were focused on Progressive Metal and or very "Zeppelin" like Heavy Rock.
this particular mix/version:
Now that most of the "metal" of this line of L3VIATHAN was worked out, it was time to add back in one of the elements that had been present in the original group of songs: conflict. I further expanded the composition to add a set of themes to the middle of the song, the British planes that appeared at dawn in 1905 a "saved" the day.
This more "improv" driven version (aka "live" ) brings a prophet-like MiniMoog to the table with that characteristic "rip" (porto-mento effect) in the synths lines
this is a bit of still a WIP
Update# Changed the main bass tone, and brought the tempo back to 80 bpm.. thinned out some of the accompaniment guitar lines.
ArtUpdate# changed cover to give "classic" metal design
Those of you who have been on the "ride" with me since the great "funk" experiments may recognize that this track just like those live/organic "seeking" funk tracks is very much about driving this track to the furthest extremes possible to break away complete from a computer driven/pre-composed/simulation to more of a true "band" feel ...
