Usually, negotiations are the best practice for both sides to focus on a win-win situation.
Negotiating in times of trouble can be different. Our brain and body might be in a constant stress situation and therefore on a completely different hormonal mix overall. Flight, fight, and freeze responses can make it challenging to be passionate, focused, and kind.
Sharing with you 5 tips on how to negotiate in a crisis, especially in times of change and uncertainty.
Inviting you to take whatever resonates and skip whatever doesn't.
Here are my tips on how to negotiate in times of trouble:
2. Support others to trust you and be collaborative as well
3. Focus on transparent and open communication
4. Emphasis on common goals and purpose
5. Show humanity and humility
Digital natives want to have fun and growth at work. Especially during COVID-19, the so-called new normal might be challenging because of all the uncertainty and change in unforeseen and unexpected ways. Make sure to keep it in mind especially within negotiations during crises.

How to establish a culture of learning for your remote team?
Today, learning is more important than ever before. This current unprecedented change provides an opportunity to help your team to strengthen their skills and find resilience. Yet, on average only 12 % of professionals are able to apply what they have learned.
How can you reinforce a culture of learning to keep your team’s engagement and growth?
1. Use micro-learning that helps your team to get motivated to get it actually done and put it on their busy calendar easily
2. Focus on short lessons ( 3 min - 10 min) on a single topic to support them to digest it
3. Enable self-directed identification of learning areas
4. Implement a buddy system or assign a peer coach for accountability
5. Track the results and evaluate the impact of learning
6. Invite team members to share what they’ve learned in short meetings
People love acknowledgment and recognition. Especially the younger learners. Make sure to recognise their progress and your team engagement and satisfaction will skyrocket.
