Milwaukee Brewers fans have another creative way to celebrate the team’s World Series run, but this one may disappear with the next rainfall.

A remarkably lifelike, 10-by-10-foot chalk portrait of Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio is taking shape on the plaza outside Chase Tower, 111 E. Wisconsin Ave. Commissioned by Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, the temporary artwork is the creation of Katie Bogan, a Milwaukee-area resident whose professional background is as surprising as her artistic talent.

Bogan is an environmental chemist, not a full-time artist. She’s been participating in chalk art festivals since she was a child in 2010, but her passion for realistic portraits began in 2018 when she recreated National Geographic’s iconic Afghan Girl photograph at a festival in Round Rock, Texas.

After moving to Milwaukee about a year ago, Bogan discovered an enthusiastic audience for her art and a newfound love for baseball.

“I am a diehard Brewers fan now,” Bogan told WTMJ’s Sandy Maxx. “I wasn’t really into baseball before moving here, and now I’m obsessed.”

Tim Gibbons, editor-in-chief of the Milwaukee Business Journal, joins Libby Collins to discuss the price difference between World Series tickets in Milwaukee and Tampa, the business boom Milwaukee is getting thanks to the Brewers, and more Milwaukee business news!

Shelley Baio had an extremely close relationship with her father. She took him to see the Milwaukee Bucks win the NBA Championship and they hoped they could one day attend a World Series together. Sadly, her dad passed away in March, but Shelley was determined to get her dad to AmFam to support the team they loved so much. WTMJ's Libby Collins talked with her about how she made it happen.

The Milwaukee Brewers heat up the World Series with two wins and are on their way to Tampa for games 3 and 4 while Milwaukee musicians are creating songs to amp up fans!

Ben Tajnai, known as "The Singing Realtor" has sung the National Anthem at AmFam as well as before Bucks and Packers games. He told WTMJ'S Libby Collins that his song, "Bring It Home Milwaukee", has already had over 1.1 million views.

Eoin McCarthy, lead singer of Milwaukee rock band Bellends has released "Brew Crew", a punk rock anthem which is a reworked version of their earlier soccer chant, "Bamport".  McCarthy told WTMJ "It's very catchy and makes you want to jump around".
