The 7th season of the Wisdom from Above podcast is focused on "The Last Days." Most people are scrambling to try to find even a hint of what is going to happen in the future. They go to horoscopes, crystal balls, palm readers, tarot cards, financial gurus, religious mystics, and people who claim to be prophets. But no one and no thing they are going to is willing to promise 100% accuracy 100% of the time. Many would make critical decisions if they only knew exactly what was going to happen in the future. Over 63 million babies have been aborted in the United States of America alone since the Roe v Wade decision in 1973. That is an average of 1,295,000 babies aborted every year in the United States of America. That means there were there were an average of 3,548 babies aborted every day in the USA for the past 49 years! According to a survey of over 2.4 million aborting women, 96.50% of their abortions were for reasons of inconvenience. 

In these last days, our culture is calling evil good. We are constantly bombarded with the secular thinking about abortion. "It is nothing but a mass of tissue." "Its not a person."    "My body, my choice."   In this 73rd episode of Wisdom from Above we will highlight the revelation of God. We will discover five truths the Bible teaches about life, pregnancy, and abortion. 

This is the 72nd podcast of Wisdom from Above. In this 7th season we are focusing on “The Last Days.” The Bible declares that “in the last days, perilous times will come.” Among other striking characteristics, this passage tells us that men will be blasphemers, unholy, unloving, without self-control, brutal, despisers of what is good (2 Timothy 3:1-5).  The Holy Spirit expressly says that “in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot branding iron…” (1 Timothy 4:1-2). One of the most horrific examples of these last days degradations is abortion. Today’s podcast topic is The Realities of Abortion.

This Wisdom from Above podcast is the final episode in Season #6 : Calvary's Major Figures. Jesus Christ is a revolutionary person.  I say that not because he was a radical political revolutionary. He wasn't. I say that because He makes radical changes in peoples’ lives. Paul was changed from persecutor of Christians to preacher of Christ. The woman at the well was changed from wrecked woman to redeemed woman. Peter was changed from denying he knew Jesus to declaring His death and resurrection! Nicodemus was changed from secret disciple to stand out disciple. Mary Magdalene was changed from demonized slave to devoted servant.

This episode reveals Pilate's encounter with Jesus. Pilate had the power of both judge and jury, but he was filled with fear. Pilate was afraid of the mob.  Pilate was afraid of going against his wife's counsel. Pilate was afraid of Caesar. Pilate was afraid to release Jesus and he was afraid to condemn Jesus. Pilate was caught between the evil schemes of Jewish leaders and the incredible innocence of Jesus character. Pilate was caught between the terrible cries of the mob and the tender appeal of Jesus. Pilate was caught between the dangerous anger of  Caesar and the possibility Deity of Jesus. Jesus appeals to Pilate. Jesus appears to be the one on trial, but ultimately it is Pilate who is on trial... facing either being released from the sentence of death or being condemned to die in his sins.
