Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 17. I will then key in on verse 3 - The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the Lord tests the hearts. Friends, Jesus came down hard against the Jewish religious leaders. He instructed his disciples to do what these men said to do, but NOT to do according to what they did. In other words, he said they were hypocrites. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. We will be going over verses 41-47, going over two brief passages of scripture which we can learn some valuable lessons from. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Even David one day will bow at the Messiah's feet and confess that He is Lord.
2. Once Jesus ascended into heaven He now sits at the right hand of God.
3. Their hearts were filled with all kinds of envy, hatred, and malice.
Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:
Proverb 17:3; Luke 20:41-47; Psalm 110:1; Philippians 2:9-10; Matthew 23:1-7
