Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 20. I will then continue my series I began last Friday (Episode 640) on the Ten Commandments. Today we will be going over Commandment #2. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. You shall not make for yourself a carved image.

2. Be doers of the word and not hearers only.

3. I will vomit you out of my mouth.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 19. I will then key in on verse 12 - The king's wrath is like the roaring of a lion, But his favor is like dew on the grass. Friends, we do not have a king in the United States, but they did during the time of the prophet Hosea. The first part of this verse definitely screams that you do not want the wrath of a king directed towards you. Likewise, his favor is like dew on the grass - that sounds lovely! On today's lesson we will continue our study of the minor prophet Hosea. I will begin this podcast by reviewing the three points from yesterday's podcast. Then we will go over the first six verses of Chapter 8. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. He shall come like an eagle against the house of the Lord.

2. They set up kings, but not by me.

3. The calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

Call to Action: Are you being led by the Holy Spirit? If you are led by the Spirit, many times you will literally be unaware of the words that come out of your mouth.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 18. I will then key in on verse 1 - A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgement. Friends, I believe that we can substitute the country of Israel (during the time period of the minor prophet Hosea) for "a man" in this verse. The Israelites were certainly seeking their own desire. They also were not showing wisdom of any kind (Job states that wisdom is having the fear of the Lord). On today's podcast we will review the three points from Episode 639 (last Thursday's podcast). Then we will begin today's lesson in Chapter 7 & go over verses 11 through 16. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Wherever they go, I will spread My net on them.

2. They have spoken lies against Me.

3. They return, but not to the Most High.

Friends, verse 9 differentiates people who try to make decisions on their own (non-Christians) vs. those who ask the Lord to direct their steps (Christians). On today's lesson I am going to talk about an incident that happened yesterday at church that prompted me to pause for a day from our study of the Book of the minor prophet Hosea. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Only the Father knows when He will take you home.

2. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

3. Therefore, you also be ready.

The main passage of scripture in today's lesson came from Matthew's gospel, Chapter 24: verses 34-44.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over proverb 13. I will then key in on verse 10 -By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom. Friends, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. We are to walk in humility - every day, all the time! In other words, nothing on earth should come before the relationship you have with your Heavenly Father, God.

By the end of today's lesson we will learn that the Israelites that lived in the day of the minor prophet Hosea were just plain "stupid." On today's podcast we will continue our study of the minor prophet Hosea. I will begin by reviewing the three points that I made on yesterday's podcast (Episode 638). We will then begin the 7th chapter of Hosea. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. They make a king glad with their wickedness.

2. None of them calls upon Me.

3. They do not return to the Lord their God.

Call to Action - Ask yourself if you are "stupid?" - not the question you want to hear? Well, how well do you take correction (from your spouse, your boss, or your closest friend? Are you open to their rebuke - if you are doing something noticeably wrong in your life?
