Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill & Judy Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 30. I will then share verses 32 & 33 - If you have been foolish in exalting yourself, Or if you have devised evil, put your hand on your mouth. For as the churning of milk produces butter, And writing the nose produces blood, So the forcing of wrath produces strife. These two verses are totally opposite Proverb 15:1 which states: A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. Judy will then share verse 5 with the audience - Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Friends, we need to put our whole trust in God. Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 23. I will then key in on verses 4 & 5 - Do not overwork to be rich, Because of your own understanding, cease! Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings, They fly away like an eagle toward heaven. Friends, working OT every week (and earning extra money) may seem like a necessity, but in today's lesson I'm hoping you'll realize that it isn't nearly as important as you might think. On today's podcast I want to share a story about what happened in the Kelley household this week. By the end of this lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. The wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

2. You know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man cometh.

3. We must always be ready!

I will then key in on verse 1 - A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold. Friends, in today's lesson we will find that the country of Israel had gotten so far away from God that He no longer felt Israel had a "good name". She had reverted to Baal worship and God had basically given up on her (the country of Israel). On today's lesson we will continue our study on the Prophet Hosea. We will be going over the first 13 verses of Chapter 2. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. She is not my wife, nor am I her husband.

2. God will not have mercy on a sinful nation.

3. People may eventually forget the Lord God.

Call to Action - Ask yourself if you have anything in life (work, sports, drugs, alcohol) that you have placed in a position higher than God in your life?

I will then key in on verse 1 - The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water, He turns it whenever He wishes. Today I am going to put the prophet Hosea into the role of King. He had been given an assignment by God to marry a woman who would be unfaithful to him. He chose to obey this call. On today's podcast we will begin a study of the Minor Prophet Hosea. By the end of today's lesson I ask that you consider three things:

1. God asks Hosea to marry a woman who would be unfaithful to him.

2. God made the ultimate decision to stop having mercy on His people Israel.

3. For great will be the day of Jezebel
