Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 2. I will then introduce you to my special guest for the day, Gabriel Breaux. Gabriel is a first year Charis Bible College student. He was born in Louisiana and was raised Catholic. He comes from a large family. He came to the realization of who Jesus was a few years ago and his life changed dramatically.

I will then go over verses 5 & 6 - A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles. Friends, reading the proverb of the day will give you understanding and wisdom. On today's podcast we will continue our study on the Gospel of Luke. We will begin in Chapter 1, verse 39. Mary (the Mother of Jesus) has just been told by the Angle of the Lord that she is to be the mother of Jesus, and that her elderly cousin, Elizabeth is with child. She immediately arranges to go and visit her to help her during this exciting time of her life. Upon completion of this lesson three things that I ask that you consider are these:

1. Mary goes to visit (and help) her cousin Elizabeth with her pregnancy.

2. Elizabeth is filled with the Holy Spirit.

3. Mary will be blessed by the Lord - Mary goes from being an obscure 15 year old virgin girl to the most honored woman in the history of the world.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill and Judy Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 29. I will then key in on verse 11 - A fool vents all his feelings, But a wise man holds them back. Judy will share a new ministry opportunity that she will be beginning shortly. We will give practical advice for couples curious about how they can be effective ministers of the Gospel. It begins in the small things - not necessarily sharing the Word of God, but in the actions that we do, the words that we speak. Friends, we can communicate the love of God simply by loving people, and being concerned about their well being.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 28. I will then key in on verse 13 - He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Friends, we will begin this podcast by picking up where we left off yesterday (if you did not get a chance to listen to yesterday's podcast, I invite you to do so). We will begin on verse 18 of Chapter 1. We will read verses 19-25. Elizabeth conceives in her womb. Six months later we begin in verse 26. I will read through verse 38 & ask that you consider three things:

1. Gabriel announces to Mary that she will be the son of Jesus, the Savior of the World.

2. Mary asks the angel how this well happen - (since she is a virgin?)

3. Mary is obedient to the Word of the Lord.

Call to Action - Are you in the perfect will of God? Do you ask Him what He would like for you to do?

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 27. I will then key in on verse 23 - Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, And attend to your herds. Friends, I believe this suggests that we are take care of our own - those that God has placed into our care - (our spouses and our kids - to insure that they know the Lord and that they are following in the ways of the Lord). On today's podcast we will be picking up where I left off on Monday's podcast. (If you did not get a chance to listen to the March 25th podcast, I invite you to do so). I will begin this podcast by briefly reviewing what we went over on Monday and then begin by reading the first four verses of Chapter 1. I will then go over the commentary of my Bible for verses 3 & 4 (I am reading out of the Nelson Study Bible). I will then read over verses 5 through 17 and go over some commentary for verses 15 & 17.

Welcome to Wisdom Today. Today we will be going over Proverb 26. I will then introduce you to my special guest for the day, Pascal Gravelle. Pascal is on staff at Charis Bible College. Pascal goes over his upbringing and how he gave his heart to Jesus as a young boy. He comes from a strong family and his family was very influential in his coming to a close relationship with Jesus. He shares how he met his wife and how excited he is about having his first child.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 25. I will then key in on verse 11 - A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver. Friends, it is better to say nothing that to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. I often ask God for discernment - meaning that He bring people into my path that I can be an encouragement to, and be a good witness of the Gospel and share the love of God. On today's podcast I will introduce you to Luke, the writer of the Gospel with his name. Luke was a Gentile, meaning he is the only author of the entire Bible that was not Jewish. Luke, most people believed, died a martyr's death at the age of 84 years of age. What I find interesting is that no one knows the certainty of the year of his birth, or the year of his death. One thing I find admirable about Luke is the thoroughness of his gospel. He did not write the gospel until 30 years had passed since the crucifixion of Jesus. I will begin this study by reading the first four verses of Chapter #1. Luke wrote this book to the Gentiles, but specifically to a man named Theophilus. Luke, obviously, was ministering him - but he wanted to be sure that this man understood that everything he would be writing was a true account of what actually took place. Three things that I would ask that you consider are:

1. Luke's gospel is a good place to start the reading of the Bible.

2. Zacharias & Elizabeth are a lot like Abraham and Sarai.

3. Zacharias was punished for not believing the word spoken to him by the angel Gabriel

Call to action: Are you mindful of the words that come out of your mouth? Are you inclined to speak a "fit word"?
