  • Day 2182– Wisdom Nuggets – Proverbs 4:20-27 – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Day 2182 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Wisdom Nuggets – Proverbs 4:20-27 – Daily Wisdom  Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2182 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2182 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of Wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.   In today’s Wisdom Nugget, we are diving into a passage that holds invaluable wisdom for the trek of life. We’ll be exploring Proverbs 4:20-27 from the New Living Translation, a passage that provides us with guidance on guarding our hearts and minds. So, grab a comfortable seat and a warm beverage as we embark on this 5-minute journey together. As we begin, let’s read the passage from Proverbs 4:20-27: “My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech. Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.” Wow, what a treasure trove of wisdom packed into just a few verses! Let’s break it down and extract the valuable insights that can transform our lives. Verse 20-21 starts with a call to attention, reminding us to listen carefully to the words of wisdom. The words we take in shape our thoughts and actions, so it’s essential to be selective about what we allow into our minds. Just as we are careful about the quality of food we consume, we should also be mindful of the content we consume mentally. In verse 22, we see a beautiful promise that wisdom brings life and healing. When we internalize and live out wise principles, they guide us on the right path and positively impact our well-being, both physically and emotionally. Now, verse 23 emphasizes the importance of guarding our hearts. Our hearts are the core of who we are, and our heart’s condition dramatically influences our lives’ trajectory. We should be cautious about what we allow to take root in our hearts – negativity, bitterness, and harmful influences can derail us from the path of wisdom. Verse 24 reminds us to steer clear of perverse talk and corrupt speech. Our words have power; they can either build up or tear down. Choosing our words carefully reflects the condition of our hearts and shapes our interactions with others. In verse 25, the instruction is to keep our focus straight ahead. This encourages us to remain focused on our goals, aspirations, and the path of wisdom. It’s easy to get distracted by the noise and chaos around us, but fixing our gaze on what lies before us helps us stay on course. Verse 26 advises us to mark out a straight path for our feet and stay on the safe path. Imagine carving out a clear trail through a dense forest – this is a metaphor for intentionally charting a course for our lives that aligns with wisdom and righteousness. Finally, verse 27 warns us against getting sidetracked and following evil. Temptations and...

  • Day 2181– The Gospel of John – 38- Rush to Judgment – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Day 2181 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom The Gospel of John – 38 – Rush to Judgment – Daily Wisdom Putnam Church Message – 11/06/2022 The Gospel of John – Part 5: Vindication Of The Word – Rush To Judgment   Today we continue our series on the Good News according to John the Apostle. Last week, we saw Jesus, the truth made flesh, Enduring Injustice With Grace in a message titled ‘Truth on Trial.’,  8Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go.” 9 This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: “I have not lost one of those you gave me.” Our scripture for today is John 18:28-19:16, starting on page 1682 in the Pew Bible. John does not include many details about the six trials which Christ faced. We know there were three before the Jewish officials and three before the Roman officials. (Bulletin) We covered the first three last week, and this week will focus on the trials before the Roman officials, as Jesus is turned over for crucifixion by the High Priest and Sanhedrin. The Roman officials know that Jesus is not guilty of any crimes, and certainly of the death penalty, but they cave to the political pressures in a “Rush To Judgment.”  Jesus Before Pilate 28 Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. 29 So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?” 30 “If he were not a criminal,” they replied, “we would not have handed him over to you.” 31 Pilate said, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” “But we have no right to execute anyone,” they objected. 32 This took place to fulfill what Jesus had said about the kind of death he was going to die. 33 Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” 34 “Is that your own idea,” Jesus asked, “or did others talk to you about me?” 35 “Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “Your own people and chief priests handed you over to me. What is it you have done?” 36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” 37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” 38 “What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again...

  • Day 2180– Wisdom Nuggets – Proverbs 4:10-19 – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Day 2180 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Wisdom Nuggets – Proverbs 4:10-19 – Daily Wisdom  Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2180 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2180 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of Wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.   In today’s Wisdom Nugget, we’re diving into the Book of Proverbs once again, exploring its timeless wisdom and insights that can guide us on our trek through life. Our focus today is on Proverbs 4:10-19 from the New Living Translation. So, grab your walking shoes, and let’s embark on this wisdom-packed journey together. Proverbs 4:10-19 says, “My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble. Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life. Don’t do as the wicked do, and don’t follow the path of evildoers. Don’t even think about it; don’t go that way. Turn away and keep moving. For evil people can’t sleep until they’ve done their evil deed for the day. They can’t rest until they’ve caused someone to stumble. They eat the food of wickedness and drink the wine of violence! The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like total darkness. They have no idea what they are stumbling over.” Wow, there is so much to unpack in these verses! Let’s break it down step by step. The passage begins with a parental-like tone, where the speaker is addressing their child, advising them to listen and follow the teachings. It’s a reminder that wisdom is like a guiding light leading us along life’s paths, ensuring we don’t stumble or get held back. The key message here is to hold on tightly to these instructions. Think of them as a treasure, something precious. It’s like a map that shows us the right way to go, helping us navigate the challenges and opportunities that come our way. This wisdom is our secret weapon, empowering us to make wise choices that lead to a fulfilling life. The next part of the passage takes a cautionary turn. We’re advised to steer clear of the ways of the wicked and the evildoers. It’s a potent reminder that the paths they tread are filled with darkness, danger, and unrest. Their actions stem from a place of wickedness and violence, consuming them like an insatiable hunger. In contrast, the righteous path is like the dawn’s first light, gradually growing brighter and clearer. It’s a beautiful metaphor for a life increasingly illuminated with wisdom and virtue. What can we learn from this passage in our modern lives? Let’s draw a parallel between the wicked ways mentioned and some of the negative influences we encounter today. We’re surrounded by distractions, temptations, and negativity that can lead us astray. The constant barrage of information, social pressures, and instant gratification can cloud our judgment and lead us down a path of darkness. So, how do we stay on the path of righteousness? It starts with mindfulness and intentionality. We must actively choose to listen to the wisdom available to us, whether through sacred texts, the counsel of mentors,...

  • Day 2179– The Gospel of John – 37- Truth on Trial – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Day 2179 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom The Gospel of John – 37 – Truth on Trial – Daily Wisdom Putnam Church Message – 10/30/2022 The Gospel of John – Part 5: Vindication Of The Word – Truth On Trial   Today we continue our series on the Good News according to John the Apostle. Last week, Jesus continued His prayer for all believers from that day forward until Christ returns to earth to restore God’s kingdom, the Global Eden. In John 17:24, Jesus said,  24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. Our scripture for today is John 18:1-27, starting on page 1681 in the Pew Bible. According to John the Apostle, we begin the Good News's final significant segment, ‘Vindication of the Word.’ We see Jesus, the truth made flesh, Enduring Injustice With Grace in a message titled ‘Truth on Trial.’  Jesus Arrested 18 When he had finished praying, Jesus left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley. On the other side there was a garden, and he and his disciples went into it. 2 Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples. 3 So Judas came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons. 4 Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?” 5 “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) 6 When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. 7 Again he asked them, “Who is it you want?” “Jesus of Nazareth,” they said. 8 Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go.” 9 This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: “I have not lost one of those you gave me.”[a] 10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.) 11 Jesus commanded Peter, “Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?” 12 Then the detachment of soldiers with its commander and the Jewish officials arrested Jesus. They bound him 13 and brought him first to Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest that year. 14...

If you’re new to the podcast, remember to hit that subscribe button so you never miss an episode. Let’s open our hearts and minds as we explore Proverbs 4:1-9 from the New Living Translation. So grab your walking shoes as we embark on this Wisdom-Trek together.   Proverbs is a book filled with practical wisdom, guiding us in the ways of living a life of purpose and meaning. So, let’s jump right in with verse 1: “My children, listen when your father corrects you. Pay attention and learn good judgment.” This verse shows the importance of listening and learning from those who have gone before us. It’s a reminder that wisdom often comes from correction and guidance. Our fathers, or those who’ve mentored us, offer valuable insights that help us make better decisions. Verse 2 continues: “For I am giving you good guidance. Don’t turn away from my instructions.” Here, we’re encouraged not to ignore the guidance and instruction we receive. Our culture often pushes us to chase the latest trends and ideas, but it’s crucial to hold onto the timeless principles of wisdom. Now, verse 3: “For I, too, was once my father’s son, tenderly loved as my mother’s only child.” This verse reminds us that everyone starts somewhere. We all come from different backgrounds and experiences, but we share a common journey of growth and learning. It’s a call to humility and empathy, recognizing that we all have unique paths that shape who we become. Moving on to verse 4: “My father taught me, ‘Take my words to heart. Follow my commands, and you will live.’” This verse underscores the connection between obedience to wisdom and a fulfilling life. When we internalize and apply the teachings of those who have walked the path before us, we set ourselves up for a life of purpose and prosperity. Verse 5 speaks volumes: “Get wisdom; develop good judgment. Don’t forget my words or turn away from them.” The pursuit of wisdom is a lifelong journey. It’s not a one-time event but an ongoing process of growth and development. We’re encouraged to seek wisdom and cultivate good judgment actively, ensuring that we don’t lose sight of the lessons we’ve learned. Verse 6: “Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you.” Wisdom is depicted as a guardian, a protector of our well-being. When we embrace wisdom, it shields us from life’s pitfalls and challenges. It’s a beautiful reminder of wisdom’s invaluable role in our lives. Verse 7: “Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.” This verse emphasizes the priority of wisdom-seeking....

  • Day 2177– Wisdom Nuggets – Proverbs 3:27-35 – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Day 2177 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Wisdom Nuggets – Proverbs 3:27-35 – Daily Wisdom  Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2177 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2177 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of Wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.   In today’s Wisdom Nugget, we explore the wisdom of the ages in the Book of Proverbs. Today, we’re diving into Proverbs 3:27-35 from the New Living Translation. So grab your walking shoes, open your hearts, and embark on this Wisdom-Trek together. Proverbs 3:27-30 says, “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say, ‘Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.’ Don’t plot harm against your neighbor, for those who live nearby trust you. Don’t pick a fight without reason, when no one has done you harm.” Ah, what a powerful reminder to extend a helping hand to those in need, right when we can. You know, life’s journey often brings us opportunities to serve others. It could be something as simple as offering a kind word, lending a hand, or even sharing our resources. We’re called to be a source of good in the lives of those around us. But notice, it’s not just about doing good; it’s about doing it at the right time - not procrastinating, not delaying, but seizing the moment to make a positive impact. Now, let’s unpack the next verse, Proverbs 3:29, “Don’t plot harm against your neighbor, for those who live nearby trust you.” You see, in any community or relationship, trust is the foundation. It’s what holds everything together. We erode that foundation of trust when we harbor ill intentions or seek to harm others. And let’s remember, trust takes time to build, but it can be shattered instantly. So, as we journey through life, let’s commit ourselves to building, rather than breaking, the trust that binds us to one another. And speaking of relationships, the next verse, Proverbs 3:30, advises, “Don’t pick a fight without reason, when no one has done you harm.” How often do we find ourselves engaging in unnecessary conflicts, fueled by pride or misunderstanding? It’s a common pitfall in our journey, isn’t it? Instead, let’s focus on fostering understanding, empathy, and compassion in our interactions. Let’s choose to be peacemakers and strive for unity, especially when no harm has been done. It’s a beautiful way to contribute positively to the world around us. Now, let’s dive into the final part of our passage, Proverbs 3:31-35, “Don’t envy violent people or copy their ways. Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord, but he offers his friendship to the godly. The Lord curses the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the upright. The Lord mocks the mockers but is gracious to the humble. The wise inherit honor, but fools are put to shame!” These verses emphasize the importance of living a life that aligns with godly principles. Envy and emulation of the ways of wicked people lead us down a destructive path. On the contrary, when we embrace humility, righteousness, and wisdom, we find favor in the eyes of the Lord. And, dear listeners, let’s not miss the profound truth that wisdom...

  • Day 2176– The Gospel of John – 36- Jesus Prayed For You – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Day 2176 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom The Gospel of John – 36 – Jesus Prayed for You – Daily Wisdom Putnam Church Message – 10/23/2022 The Gospel of John – Part 4 Confirmation Of The Word – Jesus Prayed For You   Today we continue our series on the Good News according to John the Apostle. Last week, Jesus prayed that His final act as the Word made Human would bring glory to God as He completed His mission. He then prayed for His disciples that they would be set apart, or sanctified as they continued the mission that He began, which was to build God’s kingdom until He returned to restore the Global Eden. In John 17:17-19, Jesus said, 17 Sanctify them by the truth;/ your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. (set apart) Our scripture for today is John 17:20-26, starting on page 1680 in the Pew Bible. Today we continue the Lord’s Prayer as Jesus prays for all believers in a message titled Jesus Prayed For You. Follow along as I read.  Jesus Prays for All Believers 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father,/ just as you are in me/ and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. 24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. 25 “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26 I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”   Let me start today with a story. Josephus, the 1st and 2nd-century Jewish historian, records a marvelous story that may or may not be accurate. In his great campaign for world domination in the 330s BC, Alexander the Great moved from the Hellespont to Egypt, laying siege to walled cities and conquering land in between. His path to Egypt took him down the narrow land bridge between the Mediterranean Sea and the Arabian Desert, a land ruled by Jerusalem. Israel was a choice piece of land for anyone wanting to control trade with Egypt. No one knew that better than the citizens of Jerusalem, who...

Welcome to Day 2174 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Wisdom Nuggets – Proverbs 3:21-26 – Daily Wisdom  Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2175 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2175 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of Wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.   In today’s Wisdom Nugget, we explore the wisdom of the ages in the Book of Proverbs. We are diving into Proverbs 3:21-26 from the New Living Translation. This passage offers valuable insights into the rewards of embracing wisdom and trusting in the Lord. So, let’s embark on this quest for wisdom together!   Proverbs 3-21-26  “My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble. You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.” As we delve into these verses, a clear message resonates with us: the value of wisdom, discernment, and trust in the Lord. The imagery of “jewels on a necklace” brings to mind the idea that wisdom is not just practical knowledge, but a beautiful adornment that enriches our lives and safeguards our path. Verse 23 reassures us that with wisdom, we can lay our heads down at night without fear. It’s a soothing promise of a peaceful rest that comes from a mind at ease. This is a potent reminder that when we live wisely and make sound decisions, we’re less likely to encounter turmoil that disrupts our sleep. Friends, have you ever felt overwhelmed by the uncertainties of life? The next verse, 24, is like a comforting hug from above. It tells us that we need not fear sudden disasters or the troubles that befall the wicked. When we trust the Lord and walk in His wisdom, we’re under His protection and care. Now, verse 25 underscores that sense of security. Picture this: a life where we’re free from the paralyzing grip of fear. It’s like a shield that guards us against anxiety. As we seek wisdom, it’s as though we’re wrapping ourselves in a cocoon of God’s loving assurance. Finally, verse 26 is a beautiful note to end on. “For the Lord is your security.” These words are a rock-solid foundation on which we can build our lives. When we entrust our paths to the Lord, we can confidently navigate through life without being ensnared by the traps that might lie ahead. So, how do we apply these timeless truths to our modern lives? Let’s break it down: First, let’s make it a priority to cultivate common sense and discernment. These qualities are more than just practical knowledge; they’re like treasures that guide us through life’s twists and turns. Second, embrace the promise of peaceful sleep. As we make wise choices and trust in God’s guidance, we can rest assured that He watches over us, even as we sleep. Third, banish fear from your heart. Trust in the Lord’s protection and know that His wisdom equips us to handle whatever challenges come our way. And finally, build your life on the unshakable foundation of God’s security. When we rely on Him, we can...

Welcome to Day 2174 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom The Gospel of John – 35 – Divine Intercession – Daily Wisdom Putnam Church Message – 10/16/2022 The Gospel of John – Part 4 Confirmation Of The Word – Divine Intercession   Today we continue our series on the Good News according to John the Apostle. Last week, Jesus gave us three words that keep us going: Joy, Love, and Peace. In John 16:33, Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Our scripture for today is John 17:1-19, starting on page 1679 in the Pew Bible. Today we will study the Lord’s Prayer as Jesus prays for His glorification and Disciples in a message titled Divine Intercession. Follow along as I read.  Jesus Prays to Be Glorified 17 1 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2 For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. Jesus Prays for His Disciples 6 “I have revealed you[a] to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7 Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8 For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9 I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. 11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of[b] your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by[c] that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled. 13...

Welcome to Day 2173 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Wisdom Nuggets – Proverbs 3:11-20 – Daily Wisdom  Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2173 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2173 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of Wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.   In today’s Wisdom Nugget, we explore the wisdom of the ages in the Book of Proverbs. We are diving into Proverbs 3:11-20 from the New Living Translation. This passage offers valuable insights into the rewards of embracing wisdom and trusting in the Lord. So, let’s embark on this quest for wisdom together!   Our trek begins with verses 11 and 12, reminding us that the Lord’s discipline is essential to our growth. Let’s read the verses together: Proverbs 3:11-12 My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. 12 For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. It might not always be pleasant, but just as a loving parent disciplines their child for their benefit, our Heavenly Father disciplines us out of love. These verses encourage us to embrace this discipline, knowing it’s for our good. Moving forward, we encounter a beautiful passage that extols the value of wisdom. Verses 13 to 18 capture the incomparable worth of wisdom: Proverbs 3:13-18 Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. 14 For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. 15 Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. 16 She offers you long life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left. 17 She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying. 18 Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly. Did you catch that? Wisdom is more precious than silver, gold, or even rubies! It brings us understanding, happiness, and a fulfilled life. As we seek wisdom, we draw closer to God’s heart and align ourselves with His divine plan. Our journey through these verses brings us to a captivating image – the Tree of Life. Let’s read verses 19 and 20: Proverbs 3:19-20   9 By wisdom the Lord founded the earth; by understanding he created the heavens. 20 By his knowledge the deep fountains of the earth burst forth, and the dew settles beneath the night sky. The Tree of Life, a symbol of God’s provision and sustenance, takes us back to the Garden of Eden. Through wisdom, God laid the earth’s foundations and established the heavens. It’s a reminder of His creative power and ongoing involvement in the world around us. As we conclude our trek through Proverbs 3:11-20, let’s reflect on how these verses apply to our daily lives. First, we should embrace the Lord’s discipline with humility, recognizing that it molds us into better versions of ourselves. Let’s view it as a pathway to growth and transformation. Second, let’s seek wisdom above all else. Let’s commit to continually learning and growing in
