This week, we continue our Christmas series, Birth of the King, with a message titled “Wise Men and a Foolish King,” from Matthew 2:1–12. In this familiar passage, Matthew places two responses to Jesus side by side: the fearful resistance of King Herod and the humble, joyful worship of the wise men.

As the story unfolds, we’re invited to examine our own hearts. Do we cling to control like Herod, threatened by the idea of another King? Or do we seek Jesus as our greatest treasure, bowing before Him in worship?
