Big G “Live” from the Basement

Here it is folks. The one you’ve been waiting for. Some have been waiting two days since seeing the trailer posted on Facebook. Others have been waiting two months since the super mega Rock Fest 2019 episode. Some have been waiting their whole lives to get a chance to hear 45 minutes of the Big G talking the talk. No Producer Paul. No Richie Barrister. No Victoria Herringbone. Just Mike and the Big G mano a mano for a whopping three-quarters of an hour. Just kidding, it’s only 20 minutes of Big G.  Disappointment for some; relief for others.

The G does tell you exactly what’s wrong with his and Mike’s beloved Minnesota Twins, just in time for tonight’s big Game 3 ALDS matchup with the dreaded Yankees. Yes, there’ll be more sports, sports, sports, but they’ll mix in commentary on immigration, fictional island countries, and the joys of gelatin molds. Mike one ups the Democratic Party leaders by narrowing the number of presidential candidates down to seven.

Next up: it’s time for another installment of What Up With That? It can be tough for guys (and even gals) in their forties to keep up with the latest trends.  Fortunately, Mike’s got a groovy, hip, happenin’ cool cat teenage girl to school him on all the latest apps, fashion, current pop music, etc. A good learnin’ experience for anyone over the age of 30.  Enjoy! Well kids, it’s the heart of summertime.  And that means one thing for Wisecrackin With Winter. No, not a trip to the water park, the ball game, or the old county fair.  Regular fans know it means a report from the summer weekend of decadence that is Wisecrackin’ and friends’ annual rock and roll camping festival trip.

It’s still Wisconsin, but this year the Wisecrackin Road Show eschews Oshkosh’s Rock USA in favor of Cadott, WI’s Rock Fest. Yep, these guys are pretty darn creative on their festival names, but maybe there’s something to be said for Rock Fest, whose motto is: Where We Just Rock.  That they did, and so did Mike, and his good buddies Producer Paul & Woody.

Mike & Paul will walk you through all the fabulous (and not so fabulous) Rock Fest bands they heard, along with a comparison of the concert site and campgrounds vs. Rock USA.  As if all this wasn’t enough, Wisecrackin With Winter takes you backstage onto a real working tour bus for an interview with members of the world’s favorite Ozzy Osbourne tribute band, Madman’s Diary.  No topics are off limits as Mike explores the inner workings of a hardworking band of rock and rollers.  Special thanks to Tim Hartmann and Mike Setchfield of the band for the great material.

Yes, this episode is the biggest and the best.  We’ve never said anything like that before.  In fact, this episode, including the interview with the band Madman’s Diary, is so good that you won’t even miss not hearing from the Big G.
