Bill Duane works at the intersection of individual resilience and organizational processes and culture, creating ways of working and being that increase effectiveness, innovation, adaptability and happiness at scale. As a long time engineering executive, Bill is passionate about providing practical, specific skills and management methods to allow people and organizations to meet the challenges of being a human today.
Before becoming Google’s Superintendent of Well-being, Bill ran several groups with the Site Reliability Engineering organization at Google. He also has 10 years of consulting experience in healthcare, manufacturing, finance, telecom and media with studies in neuroscience, team effectiveness, mindfulness and the latest in well-being science.
Conversation includes: reaching the individual in times of stress, how to best implement mindfulness in the workplace, the importance of giving attention to organizational resilience, the power of leadership modelling, and the need for connection and understanding in corporate settings.
