Two years after New York was largely shut down because of the coronavirus, the city is now seeing the pendulum swing back: most school children no longer have to wear masks in schools, and businesses aren’t required to request proof of vaccination from their customers. But, as health experts warn, this doesn’t mean the pandemic is over.
