Christ gave his life to make it possible for men to be restored to the image of God. It is Grace that breaks the bondage of evil habit. How was it that the sin of one man could make us all sinners?

Upon obedience to the laws of nature the order and Harmony of the natural world depend. Upon principles of righteousness the well-being of the universe depends. Earth is no longer in harmony with heaven.

Sin has destroyed our peace. While self is unsubdued, we can find no rest. We are as helpless here as were the disciples to quiet the raging storm.

What rays of softness and beauty shown forth in the daily life of our Savior! What sweetness flowed from his very presence! This same Spirit will be revealed in his children.

Come with me to the observation platform of the empire State building in New york. Far below us lie the busy streets with their constant activity; yet we stand somewhat isolated from the never-ending roar and confusion of traffic. Suddenly the scene of human ambition dies away, and we turn our gaze upward to the stars and galaxies whose glory is of everlasting light.

Our heavenly father cannot be satisfied until his love embraces the repentant sinner, transformed through the merits of the spotless lamb of God. Sinful and fallen man may be made complete in Jesus through the forgiveness of sin and the imputed righteousness of Christ.

Never will it be forgotten that he whose power created and upheld the unnumbered worlds through the vast realms of space the beloved of God, the Majesty of heaven, he who cherub and seraph delighted to adore, humbled himself to uplift fallen man, that he bore the guilt and shame of sin and the hiding of his father's face till the woes of a lost world broke his heart and crushed out his life on calvary.

The blessing of Grace is given to men that the heavenly universe and the fallen world may see as they could not otherwise, the perfection of Christ's character. It is not God's will that we should seclude ourselves from the world. We are to be in the world as a corrective influence.

Beholding Christ means studying his life as given in his word. We are to dig for truth as for hidden treasure. Fix our eyes upon christ. By beholding we become changed, morally assimilated to the one who is perfect in character.

There is strength for us in christ. He is our advocate before the father. He dispatches his Messengers to every part of his Dominion to communicate his will to his people.
