Senasha Lynn is an Austin native who has been writing music since she was 14 years old. She has written for other local singers/rappers, and is now diving into performing her own songs in a variety of genres.  This episode is filled with lots of great information for musicians and artists. AlexAlco evolved his multi-instrumental soloist show by combining with his father, David, and an all star cast of friends to form a Fam Jam band. Los Alcos blend rhythmic Latin-Rock, trippy Psych-Pop, and groovy Space-Funk into a spicy performance.  This episode I talk to the extremely talented Alex Alcocer and his dog Slayer about some of our favorite bands like Pink Floyd, the Mars Volta, and Rage Against the Machine. Austin based Dog Beach Rebels joined up in 2018, brought together over a love of reggae. The band takes a unique approach to ska punk and reggae fusion while staying true to influences like Sublime, 311, and Rebelution. You’ll be working up a sweat to sweltering bass lines and treated to booty-shakin’ percussion that hearkens back to Dr. John, while still dropping hints of ‘90s rock and modern prog.  We talk about the bands experiences in Austin as well as some of their approaches to performing, song writing, and just living that music life.

Spectral Sea began in 2016 with a goal of creating a sound different from anything else coming out of Austin, TX. With a sound rooted in their mutual love of late 90’s-early 2000’s guitar rock, Spectral Sea continues to craft songs with that evoke straight forward alternative rock with ambient flourishes, thunderous rhythms, and arena-ready melodic vocal hooks.
