Many often leave his show saying, “Does he live with us?” Strikingly brilliant comedian Mike E. has not slowed down since his debut on The Late Show W/ David Letterman and then winning a reoccurring role on NBC’s The Office. Whether its hardships or love, you’re gonna get it served honestly from this charismatic Baltimore native who got his comedy start in California’s state capitol. When asked, why Sacramento? He says, “If they want you, they’ll find you.” And they have, his success is rapidly rising and you may have seen him on Showtime’s Comics Without Borders, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, and the Arsenio Hall Show. He has currently taken his talents to LA, or Pasadena to be exact. Check his calendar to see if he will be touring in your city soon. His show is a must see. • Kindred The Family Soul on Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne
Kindred The Family Soul, Also known as Kindred is an R&B/Neo Soul duo consisting of married couple Fatin Dantzler and Aja Graydon. They are a part of that wonderful NeoSoul sound that came from Philadelphia just like Jill Scott who actually discovered them and helped them to get signed. By 2003, they debuted their first CD "Surrender To Love" which included the hit song, "Far Away".  They followed that up in 2005 with a tribute CD to Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, "In This Life Together" which produced one of my favorite songs "Where Would I Be Without You (The Question)"
They have been nominated for multiple awards and deserved each and every one! They are a powerful inspiration to couples and singles looking for love and their latest single "All My People" is speaking to an entire generation. Today, the stop by for a visit and Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne

  • Stacye Branche' Visits Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne
We are joined today by the lovely Dr. Stacye Branche', Author of the new book "Relationships and the Thenings We Don't Talk About". Not only is she an author, but she is also a motivational speaker, actress, songwriter and singer.  With a vocal style borne through a study of the emotional nuances of Minnie Riperton, Dinah Washington and Ella Fitzgerald, Branché has combined that knowledge with the influence and inflections of her work with Stevie Wonder, Herb Alpert and The Emotions to bring her distinctive style full circle.  In essence, she has found her “truth.” Can't Wait!
