Last weekend “The Perfect Guy” wasreleased in theaters and according to the previews Sanaa Lathan’s character leaves her husband and starts dating a new guy that she feels is perfect for her. Well this new guy doesn’t necessarily prove as perfect as we thought! It looks as though the ex-husband comes to the rescue to save her.

Would you do the same thing if your lover left or cheated on you with someone that turned out to be like this character? What if the person your lover cheated on you with became a stalker, abusive, or just downright crazy? Would you be willing to defend your lover AND take him/her back? If so, why or why not?

What if you left your lover and started relations with a new mate and this person became abusive or left you broken hearted…then you realize you want to go back to your ex; would you expect your ex to rescue you AND to take you back?

Brunch in the Basement with JaVonne is  a weekly radio program which puts the spotlight on music and artists which happen to be my favorite music and artists. Friends stop by who do interesting things for a living and we chat it up about what they're doing. We invite eveyone to hang out with us in the basement and ask questions and make comments. Some of my friends are artists, both famous and indie, while others are poets, into sports, managers, etc. Today we're expecting a pop up visit from Barbara Sobel a music promoter and we'll be listening to some of my favorite jams as well. The legenday Singer and Songwriter Joyce Sims debuted her first classic single (You are my) All and All.  She topped the R&B and Dance charts in the U.S. and the pop charts internationally. IN the UK Joyce debut album "Come Into My Life." was certified gold. In the U.S. the album charted Billboard R&B top 10. Her music is continuously sampled and she continues to give us something new. Her latest single is called "All I Want Is You" and it's sure to be a hit. We are so excited to have her come chat with us about her career and her music when she joins us for Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne.

This weekend, friend to the show and house music legend Inaya Day joins us with her very talented (and famous) cousins. Recently, I've made acquaintance with Inaya's cousin DeVonde who will co-host this episode with us. DeVonde has a hit new single out "Redemption" and is having a new release out soon. She also has a talented little sister, Akira Dee, who also is an amazing talent. These ladies have a couple of talented male relatives as well including rap artist Poison Pen and Solomon Roberts, Jr lead singer and band leader for the amazingly talented group Skyy who had such amazing hits as "Call Me", "Let's Celebrate" and "Here's To You" as well as others. We are discussing oral sex and if it's a deal breaker if your partner refuses to perform oral sex. Do you still provide oral sex to your partner if she/he does not provide it to you? What is more important to you receiving or giving oral sex? Would you date someone who refuses to perform oral sex on you? Is there a compromise for not receiving oral sex? 

Let's reverse it...are YOU the one who does not give oral sex? Is so, why not? Is it the taste, are you a female/male who just don't do it, or do you lack confidence in your oral sex skills? Do you expect a man/woman to perform oral sex on you even though you will not perform it on him/her?
