Tuesday marked our monthly visit with the New Hampshire Department of Safety. Our guest was Justin Cutting, Director of the Division of Fire Standards Training and EMS...commonly known as the N.H. Fire Academy. We explored the inner workings of the Academy and a number of employment opportunities that are available.

Monday's show focused on the NBA and NHL Championship Series with our guest, broadcaster and author John Leahy. We discussed the Celtics' two games to none lead over Dallas and the Florida Panthers' opening game victory against Edmonton. We also touched on the start of Week 2 in the Hunter Biden trial and a fun-filled Saturday in Manchester.

Riding solo again today I brought up various productions that are happening this summer at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse, NL Barn Theatre, M&D in Conway, Powerhouse Theatre and in Pittsfield. I gave a quick recap of the Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative Play Festival held at Prescott Farm this past weekend. Finally, I talk about the Market Days coming up in Concord June 20-22.

This week on Facing the Future we’ll examine developments on the national security front with Michael O’Hanlon of the Brookings Institution. Topics include the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza as well as competition with China.

The Sheriff of Merrimack County, David Croft, was our Thursday guest. Merrimack County is the third-largest county in the state with almost 154,000 people and about 956 square miles but it even goes beyond that. The Sheriff's Office hold the highest law enforcement authority and statewide jurisdiction meaning that they can stop vehicles, serve paperwork and perform arrests in any county in the state.

Dan Weed of Weed Family Automotive in Concord was our guest on Wednesday. We discussed the status of electric vehicles, the recent strong sales of light vehicles led by Ford, Hyundai, Toyota and Kia plus the average age of a vehicle on the road today in the U.S.A.

Tuesday's diverse program featured our monthly segment with the New Hampshire Insurance Department. We were joined by Dr. Jason Aziz, Director of Health Economics, Life and Health at the Department. We talked price transparency in health care and a very helpful website to navigate health costs, nhhealthcost.nh.gov Also appearing Tuesday, Scott Spradling of the Scott Spradling Band. Scott's band will be performing a "Jukebox Saturday Night" this Saturday evening at 7:30 at the Rex Theater in downtown Manchester.
