  • The Sports Machine w/ Slim | Why is Draymond Green on my TV?
I saw my archrival today. The type of person that reminds me that it truly is Boston vs the world. So many things to wonder about out there in society. Today's edition of The Sports Machine with Slim tries to cover as many of them as possible. Luka isn't complaining to the refs? New Yorks Knicks probably matching up against the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. Jeremy Swayman guaranteeing wins. The NY Rangers possibly blowing a 3-0 series lead? Draymond Green getting paid to be on tv? These are crazy times we live in. We may as well talk about it.

  • Cail & Company LIVE with Eric Rynston-Lobel
Local sports was one of our topics on Thursday as we were joined by Eric Rynston-Lobel of the Concord Monitor. It's a very busy Spring sports season and Eric brought us up to date on boys and girls lacrosse as well as what's taking place on the baseball and softball fields in the area. We also mentioned the spring auction this Saturday taking place at White Farm in Concord where surplus government property will be auctioned off, two walking events to raise money for local charities and the opening tonight of the 66th annual Kiwanis Fair on the grounds of the Everett Arena in Concord.

Some of the companies that have used their facilities include Disney, Prime Amazon, Titleist, Sony, Hannaford and Red Bull! • Cail & Company LIVE | Relive Your Past Wednesday
It was a "Relive Your Past Wednesday" a day designed to remember the first music you ever bought or had purchased for you. Our resident "Flick Chick" Kitty Rae called in to tell us about her mother buying her a box of cereal (Super Sugar Crisp) that included a 45 rpm record on the back of the box that you cut out and played on your record player. It turned out to be the number-one selling song of 1969. Listen and find out what it was. Also breaking this morning, word that President Biden and former President Trump have agreed to debate in June and September.

  • The Sports Machine w/ Slim | Funeral Day for the Bruins?
Let's hope not. Please. Let's hope this isn't the last day of the season for the Boston Bruins. The team has shown grit and resilience all season long. Can they show it tonight when their backs are fully against the wall? We are going full "I dont care" mode on the show today to set the tone. The Celtics are on the verge of advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals after their game 4 win vs Cleveland last night. Jrue Holiday seems to be quietly leading the way. Tatum is doing what he needs to do and so is Jaylen Brown, although Brown's struggles from the free throw line certainly have us concerned. We discuss this and a whole lot more today on The Sports Machine with Slim!

  • The Sports Machine w/ Slim | The Bruins Blame Game
Who should we blame for the Bruins loss in game 4? And game 3? And game 2? Of course we should blame the Bruins. They haven't been good enough. It is a difficult thing to admit when you are wrong - and The Sports Machine with Slim hates to say it - but Florida is the better team. Nonetheless.....Something fishy is going on in the series with Florida. Sam Bennett literally punched Brad Marchand right in the face during Game 3 in a play that resulted in the Bruins captain being pulled from the game, and then having to sit out Game 4 as well. The camera angle that the league had (which clear as day shows the dirty, dirty play) - wasn't released to the public until the day of Game 4. That is suspicious. In fact, it is outright illegal. A man clearly sucker punched another man, resulting in serious injury. Yet the league takes no action? They allow Sam Bennett to play in Game 4 with zero repercussions whatsoever? Well that results in the Bruins having to do something about it themselves......which results in the Bs taking a few penalties....which results in fewer shots on net....which results in a Game 4 loss. Im not here to say the Bruins are better than Florida. The Panthers have been the better team in this series. But the refs AND THE LEAGUE sure as heck have done their best to try to help the Panthers as much as they can. I am here to say that LOUDLY!
