  • The Sports Machine w/ Slim | Harry the Celtics Caller Blows My Mind!
Nobody likes to admit when they are wrong. I have noticed this more and more through time. As I've gotten older, I have forced myself to be on the lookout for times when somebody else might have a superior opinion. I can't be right 100% of the time, right?Harry the Celtics Caller called the show today with a take that has turned my world upside down. Maybe I have been wrong on this the whole time. Mabe the Boston fanbase isnt spoiled, fat and lazy. Maybe they are actually super intelligent. Today's episode of The Sports Machine with Slim is one for the ages. It will change lives. It will make you think twice before judging others. Plus, it will make you want to absolutely run through a wall to support our Boston Bruins team tonight in game 3 vs Florida!!!!!

  • NH Unscripted with Alex Stoyle & Karen Bassett
I love coffee. Wayyyyyy too much to be honest. Anyway I thought that I fell into a fever dream when I found out that there’s a coffee event called The Northeast Coffee Festival coming to Concord, NH on May 10-11. It’s being hosted by two of my favorite coffee houses Revelstoke and Wayfarer. Alex Stoyle and Karen Bassett, respectively, come by and give me the deets on this event for all of us java addicts. There are going to workshops on espresso, tea, and homebrewing. There’ll be panel discussions, coffee tastings AND “drumroll please” a 2024 Latte Art Throwdown at the Bank of NH Stage! Much of the weekend is free, but, certain events require purchasing a pass.

  • The Sports Machine w/ Slim | The Boston Bruins Lose 6-1
Boston Bruins fans have a reason to be angry. The Bruins lost 6-1 to Florida last night and there are many reasons why. We here at The Sports Machine with Slim are not angry at what happened during game 2 though. We are slow, crock pot cooking simmer angry getting ready for Game 3. The Bruins and the fanbase need to hunker down in their den of choice for the next 24-30 hours and be prepared to come at Florida tomorrow night with every single ounce of energy that our bodies possess. Charge!!! The Boston Celtics play tonight. They will beat Cleveland to go up 2-0 in the series. Yawn. Celtics fans don't need to do anything. Yet.

  • The Sports Machine w/ Slim | NEW YORK vs BOSTON!
Let's do this. They don't like us and we don't like them. The Sports Machine with Slim vs whatever NY sports talk radio show they want to throw at us. We are ready! The Celtics vs the Knicks is kinda not even a fair fight. I feel a bit like it is picking on the class weakling back in grade school. They are having a good hair day and feeling as good as they have in a long long while......so maybe I should just let them have their day in the sun for a bit longer. But when it comes time, the Knicks and their pathetic fanbase are gonna get run over. Live it up while you can KnickFan. But don't look past Indiana or else you guys might have a premature ejection before reaching the dream matchup.
The Rangers on the other hand - those dudes have my attention and respect. The Rangers are now 6-0 in the playoffs after winning in OT vs Carolina last night. The Rangers have been the real deal all season. That's why I'm looking forward to playing them. I'm hungry for it. The Bruins have been the little engine that could all season long and a series vs a NY Rangers team that hasn't won anything since 1994 does not have me scared. It has me ready and eager for the challenge of pulling yet another upset. Florida stands in our way for now but that will be handled soon enough. Bring me the New York Rangers!
