Nelson Figueroa was drafted by the New York Mets in the 30th round of the 1995 Major League Draft out of Brandeis University, He went on to pitched for six teams over his nine year MLB career The-- New York Mets, Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Houston Astros -- ,He made his MLB debut as a member of the Diamondbacks in 2000.he would re-joined the Mets organization in 2008, and over the course of the next two seasons he appeared in 32 games, including 16 as a starter. He became a fan favorite .After he threw his last professional pitch with the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions of the Taiwan League in 2013-2014, He joined SNY as lead studio analyst for Mets pre- and post-game shows, and contributor to SNY's "Mets Hot Stove," "Daily News Live" and SNY.tv.
