We are back with the monthly forecast for September. This month is opening us up to our heart's truth, and rising towards new seasons and cycles in our growth and evolution. The monthly cards are: The World and the Nightingale reversed.

In this episode we talk about it means to stand in this space, sovereign and individual, and yet see how it contributes to the moving cycles of our lives. Some of the main themes we discuss:

• creation, destruction, and evolution happening as one

I asked, and you guys answered! You wanted an episode on self-empowerment, and that is exactly what this episode is all about. Rather than talking about the main themes of self-empowerment (strength, confidence, conviction, etc.) I wanted to talk about something a little different.

This episode is all about how we nourish, sustain, and empower ourselves through spiritual food. Just like you actively choose food to eat to empower your body, this episode talks about the ways and reasons to empower your spirit.

In this episode you will hear some of these main themes:

• reframing how you talk to yourself and engage with your balancing between spirit and matter
• set an intention to empower yourself in whatever way you choose
• validate the act of energetic sustenance through your spiritual birthright to fullness
• releasing the conditionings of guilt and shame around these topics

I am always looking for ways to provide you, dear listener, with tips for epic and honest readings in regards to your tarot and oracle practices. In this episode, we are discussing why the Court Cards are not other people, and we should do away with reading them as people.

The main reasons and themes are:

• How we tether people  down to simply sex / gender when we read the court cards as other people.
• How reading the court cards as other people can infiltrate sacred space. People absent from the reading have not given their consent, yet we assign to cards them and their energies when reading this way.
• The Court Cards are a gift. In fact, the least frequent gift. Be selfish and take them for yourself.

The Court Cards help tell us how to initiate, move, tend, and expand the other cards in a reading, or the situations and themes we are working through. They are here for the seeker or person getting the reading to align, grow, and gain in the many layers of their lives.

We have a lot of intense moving energy for this month. Our monthly cards are the Knight of Swords and the Zebra (which is technically in the position of a knight in the element of fire). So, that means that a lot of the energy this month is about finding the authentic truth, and rising with that truth to new possibilities, based on the visions you have and hold. 

In this episode, some of the themes that we discuss are:

• the cyclical nature of autonomous self giving to the expansive collective which gives back to the autonomous self

This was not the podcast that I was planning on creating. This was not the podcast episode that I thought I would need to create, but here we are, in a time where our birthrights are being taken from us, and the lies and breech on our sovereignty can feel overwhelming.

Tarot is a not a substitute for any sort of therapy or medical counseling, but I do believe that we can use the tarot to help guide us and be an ally for us in times like these.

In this episode, we will be talking about the High Priestess, and how we need her invitation of sovereignty more than ever. We will be talking about sitting with the fear and the knowns and unknowns of the 8 of Swords. We will be talking about the shift and ascension from passion and personal truth into spaces of power with the Knight of Wands. Finally, we will end with a reading of the Justice poem from my upcoming poetry book Major Arcana: A Poetry Collection.
