Every spring, thousands from the food community gather for the James Beard Awards.  Most refer to the event as the Oscars of food, yet for such a significant event, they rarely know much about the man behind the name. 

In this episode, Tyler turns the tables, retelling the story of James Beard and his legacy, as members from the industry that he helped build, and the foundation built in his honor, pay tribute to him. At the end, we hear about the new direction of the James Beard foundation, and what it's doing to help food policy in America.
