Ibilola is a civil and structural Engineer with a Ph.D. in Computer Aided Design and Draughting (CADD), with over 33 years running a consulting company that serves the Energy, Power, Infrastructure, Mining, Manufacturing, Oil, Gas & Renewable industries.
She is the lead Principal Consultant at Lonadek Global Services, a women-owned ISO 9001:2015 Engineering Technology, Asset Performance and Information Optimization., and has served for two terms (6 years) on the Energy Institute UK Council and on the panel of judges of the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK) Africa Prize.
She is a co-founder of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) and a committee Chair of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Young Professionals Career Development Committee. I sit on the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) Board also.
In this episode, we talk about the barriers that women and girls have when it comes to STEM, from early ages to breaking glass ceilings later in life, as well as what can and is currently being done to change the landscape of women in STEM!
