What is anxiety disorder? It is a type of mental health condition. If you have an anxiety disorder, you may respond to certain things and situations with fear and dread. You may also experience physical signs of anxiety, such as a pounding heart and sweating.
General symptoms of an anxiety disorder includes:
• Numbness or tingling in hands or feet.
• Feeling panic, fear and uneasiness.
• Repeated thoughts or flashbacks of traumatic experiences.
• Uncontrollable, obsessive thoughts.
• Inability to be still and calm.
• Ritualistic behaviors, such as washing hands repeatedly.
We may have to find ways to cope with an anxiety disorder, if so here is how you can start?
There are several steps you can take to cope with anxiety disorder symptoms. These strategies can also make your treatment more effective:
• Explore stress management.
• Limit or avoid caffeine
• Talk to your healthcare provider.
If you have an anxiety disorder, ask your provider:
• What’s the best treatment for me?
• Do I need medication? What type?
• How long should I take medication?
• What type of psychotherapy will work best?
• What else can I do to manage my symptoms?
• What other conditions am I at risk for?
Now how do you help yourself
1. Talk to someone you trust
2. Try to manage your worries
3. Look after your physical health
4. Try breathing exercises
6. Try peer support group locally or online
7. Connect with a therapist
8. Speak God word over your life.

1. Deuteronomy 31:8 "It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed."
2. Isaiah 26:3 "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."
3. Psalm 73:26 "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
4. Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
5. Philippians 4:19-20 "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen."
6. 1 Peter 5:6-7 "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
7. Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
8. Psalms 63:3 "Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you."
As I end today’s session, I want to remind you that it’s going to be okay, I want you to close your eyes right now and take 3 deep breaths and I want you to repeat after me. All things are working for my Good, All things are working for my Good, All things are working for my Good and I believe it will be so.
