Women In WW2: A Novel Experience with Anna Parker-Naples

From an early stage in my life, I developed a keen interest for narrating history through storytelling. I found a way to express myself through spoken words on audio and well-written books. Today I'll be telling my story on how I became an expert in storytelling, the courses I took and how I pursued my dreams without fear.

What You Will Learn in This Episode:

- How to tell if a book has been written well or poorly

- Why you need confidence to achieve your goals in life

- How I overcame imposter syndrome before writing my first book

- The benefits of having a support system every step of the way

- What to consider when creating a well-written book

I've learnt that your journey to success can become very difficult when you're striving without a strong support system to inspire and cheer you on. You need to surround yourself with the people that have your best interests at heart so you can achieve your dreams. You also need to identify the root of your fear and put yourself out there. With enough confidence and support, you'll be able to create well-written stories.

The stories we've read about World War 2 may never be enough to truly understand what went on during that period. This is why we may not see the need to celebrate the survivors and the impact of the tough decisions they had to make at every turn. In this episode, I'll be talking about my personal connection to WW2 and the story that inspired me to write a book about it.

What You Will Learn in This Episode:

- Why I developed an interest in World War 2

- Why I decided to leave the theatre world and become a writer

- How I got to learn about the Leighton Buzzard history during the war

- The importance of documenting and celebrating national histories all over the world

- The secrets of RAF Stanbridge

When you take a timeout to learn history, it connects your memories to the happenings, to the environment and to the stories from that period of time. This has inspired me to tell the tale of the women of Leighton Buzzard and how they lived during the war.
