Hazel McCallion is a true Canadian hero and a true inspiration for many. She’s an extraordinary leader who has empowered many and doesn’t tolerate anything but what is right and fair. Hazel McCallion, businesswoman, athlete, politician, mayor of Mississauga from 1978 to 2014 (born 14 February 1921 in Port-Daniel, QC). One of Canada's longest-serving mayors, McCallion led her city for 12 consecutive terms, only retiring at age 93. Nicknamed “Hurricane Hazel” for her brash political style, she oversaw the development of Mississauga from a semi-rural bedroom community into the sixth-largest city in Canada. McCallion is considered a trailblazer for women in politics.

Dr. Sonya Richmond completed an HBSc in Biology and Environmental Resource Science, an MSc in Watershed Ecosystems Management from Trent University, and a Ph.D. in Forestry at the University of Toronto. Her post-doctoral research was at Bird Studies Canada as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst. She has won national scholarships, presented at professional academic conferences, published peer-reviewed articles, and worked on award-winning publications.

Andrea Linger began her career in the financial services industry in 2010 and joined Raymond James in 2011. During her time at Raymond James, she has grown her career, taking on new roles and increasing responsibilities first within an Advisory team and then in the Practice Management Department.

In the role of Associate Vice President, Practice Management, Andrea is responsible for managing, facilitating, and designing programs to improve the profitability and growth of our Financial/Investment Advisors across Canada. She is directly responsible for the delivery of various Practice Management programs; facilitating new Advisor training and succession planning programs.

For more than twenty years, Amelie has worked in the fashion and textile industry, developing, manufacturing, and designing innovative products with international brands. She was based in Shanghai, one of the world’s fashion industry hubs from 1996 to 2020. While her core business remains in garment manufacturing, she is also co-founder of a few brands such as Kandymask, and invests in prominent startups that promote sustainable and circular businesses.

Now here in Canada, Amelie is the ambassador for Waste2Wear and is presently building an online manufacturing capacity builder for fashion entrepreneurs. Making fashion will provide processes and tools to equip fashion leaders to better approach manufacturing and make smart(er) decisions for their business, people, and the planet.

Sarah has an extraordinary wealth of legal and financial expertise that brings a 360-degree perspective to the dispute resolution process. She is a Chartered Accountant with a specialization in tax, as well as a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional, and holds a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. She is also a member of CPA Alberta, CIRP, ACFE and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Alberta. Prior to founding Hawco Peters, Sarah spent 13 years practicing insolvency and turnaround management at national and international firms. 

She also provided a wide range of consulting, specializing in due diligence, business reviews and viability assessments, corporate taxation, estate planning, restructuring, and alternative dispute resolution. Outside of her professional commitments, Sarah volunteers her time to teach financial literacy at various schools and shelters.
