Helen is 9 times National Cyclocross Champion, two-time European Champion, and a World Championship medalist. She is also a superstar in women’s cyclocross advocacy. She also claimed the individual silver at the 2009 Europeans riding Some Day Soon and a year later rode Jakata at the World Equestrian Games where the pair finished 14th. The partnership went on to finish 9th at the 2011 European where Piggy also won her first senior team medal taking the bronze. After a break to start a family Piggy is back on the British team competing at this year's European Championships with Quarrycrest Echo and a week later finishing second at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials with Vanir Kamira. With six years between their daughters Sophia and Luciana Alexa is finding the balance between being there for her daughters and making time for her riding career. For her the time spent in the stables is dedicated to the horses and training and it’s important not to be distracted by the demands of being a mother. As she has discovered already, the time passes quickly as she watches children grow and she wants to be the best mother she can be while still enjoying her passion of riding and competing.
