I have been doing these videos for a while – now up to video 84!

Although I enjoy doing the videos, I wonder if you are being inspired or learning anything from them. It can be quite lonely smiling and talking into the lens of a camera wondering if what I am saying is of benefit to you. Although I ask for comments in the comments box below, I receive very few. This makes me wonder if anyone watches or finds the videos of interest.

Therefore, this week, it is ‘over to you’. Should I continue with Now TV – or maybe even have a break for a while?

Recently I shared how my husband Andrew and I have had to make adjustments to our life.  Andrew has prostate cancer and is no longer able to work.  After 37 years of marriage, we have established our “roles” and these have now changed.

…not doing something!

This week I am on my soap box!

I am sick of hearing vibrant, healthy women over the age of 50 say they are too old to do certain things. Being over 50 is not an excuse for not doing something. I get frustrated hearing healthy mature women say, “I am too old for that” or “I’d love to do that but I am too old!”

As Brian Tracy says, “Whatever you believe with feeling becomes your reality”. Do you really want to be too old to do the things you love?

Before I leave the house, I would make sure all the beds are made, the laundry is done and the kitchen is clean. I would rush around like a mad woman and get really frustrated because no one in the family was helping.  My husband very sweetly pointed out that there is more to life than a spotless house.

As I mature in age, so does my middle! I find it easier to put on weight and harder to get it off! Although I enjoy the many gatherings and events over the Easter period, I struggle not to over indulge. There are family and social get-togethers with lots of traditional Easter food to eat - including chocolate!
