We study the parallel king in Daniel 5. We see that he is contrasted to his predecessor and is called out by God for increasing sin in his life. In captivity, he is faced with a tension, to honor his conviction to not defile himself, or to compromise and follow the rule of his new government. Many followers of Jesus can find themselves in similar situations. What do we do? We will discover that even when it feels like all is lost, God is still in control. Therefore, we can have courage to follow God, even if it means standing out.

Therefore, in this series, we won't just read the entire book of Daniel together, we will also train you how to study it yourself. This message opens us up to the book of Daniel and introduces us to a key method of biblical interpretation: Inductive Bible Study.
Easter is a pretty weird holiday. You have eggs, bunnies, and Jesus raising from the dead. Though there were no bunnies or eggs on the first Easter, 2000 years ago, it was still a pretty weird day. The Gospel of Luke tells us that some of those who first heard that Jesus rose from the dead thought it was an "idol tale. And they did not believe it." But, in this message, we will go and inspect the tomb for ourselves and explore whether or not Jesus actually rose from the dead and what it means if He didn't, and if He did.
