Wonder-Working Magician

The Wonderful Magician is a captivating exploration of themes and characters that has intrigued literary students, particularly in England, thanks to the spirited fragment left by Shelley in his Scenes from Calderon. Following in the footsteps of such a great master presents its own challenges, but this version aims for strict fidelity to the original’s form and substance. While it may lack the elevated poetic harmonies familiar to many readers, it offers a fresh and faithful interpretation that honors the essence of the original work. - Summary by The Translator
