Janet: Hello, and welcome everybody to Rising Stars Radio. This is Janet Beckers here; and I’m very excited to bring to you today a lovely friend of mine who’s been part of the wonderful web community for quite a few years, Cate Richards.

Hi Cate! It’s wonderful to welcome you here.

Cate: It’s wonderful to be here, Janet. I’m very excited about our conversation today and hoping that my story will resonate with some other people who are somewhere along this wonderful path of entrepreneurship.

Janet: The thing that I’m really excited about sharing with Cate’s story is this beautiful journey of Cate has one business, called Team Bonding, which is an exciting business. The business that she’s built and it’s grown strongly. We’ll talk about that; but she also has another business which is around the True Entrepreneur, which is what we’re going to be a lot about, how has she has those two businesses and how does it fit in with her progress as an entrepreneur?

To make this really easy. Our plan today is to try to give you the maximum value that we can in 20 minutes. We’ll be cutting straight the chase. It’s also our intention to give you some really clear points that you can implement this week. Some action steps from Cate’s journey, things that she has found that’s worked really well for her that you will be able to use straight away. We’ll be sharing that with you today well on the course.

Let’s get stuck straight in. Instead of me reading out Cate’s bio, let’s hear it straight from her. Cate can you please share with us who it is that you helped and how do you do that?

Cate: With True Entrepreneur, which is my new business, I helped what I call know-how entrepreneurs. Those are people that I guess they know something, they’ve experienced something and they have something to share or teach or guide and pass on to others; but there’s a gap between having that knowledge and I guess packaging it and selling it to the market. I helped them with all of their strategy and their branding and everything in the way to package their product, everything they need to do before they really have an offer that they can take to the market. It’s kind of my tradition for that business.

Janet: Right.

Cate: I also have another business which is nine years old, which is called Team Bonding, as you mentioned it just then. That is a business that creates events for the corporate market. In that business,

Janet: Hello and welcome everybody to Rising Stars Radio. This is Janet Beckers here, and I’m really excited to introduce to a lovely member of ours, Joanne Newell, from “Rich Life by Design.” Wonderful to welcome you hear, Joanne.

Joanne: Thank you very much, Janet. It’s fantastic to be here.

Janet: Now, I just want to acknowledge everybody that’s taken the time to be here. Our intention today, Joanne and I, is to be able to give you some really actionable steps that you can go and use in your business this week. You can even use them today. That is our intention to honor the time that you’re trusting us with to make it so that you can actually make some changes now. To do that, we are aiming to be able to help you in about 20 minutes, to see how much maximum value we can give you in that time. We’re going to dive straight in. Joanne, would you mind sharing with us who it is that you help, and how do you do that?

Joanne: I help female business owners to create a money mindset that really works for them. I found during my first coaching years that was general life coaching, a lot of women, more and more women, were coming to me with the same issue cropping up, and it was to do with money mindset, and their business. I thought, “Okay, universe. This is what I’m meant to be helping people with at this stage.” That’s what I do, and I help them through a beautiful VIP day, called a “Dynamic Money Mindset VIP day”, and we follow that up if they choose ongoing coaching to keep their mindset going and to implement everything that we put in place, that we uncovered, and worked on, during that VIP day. That’s the main work that I do with people, helping them grow their businesses that way, as well as implementing practical marketing and business strategies.

I’ve recently, very recently, started adding a “Write That Book” service, a book publishing consultancy service for female business owners, again, because again, in listening to the universe, kept getting the signs, “This is what you’re meant to help people with”, and I used to be a book editor, and have written 3 books myself, so definitely know the industry and combined it with money mindset, it’s hugely powerful, and it’s just so rewarding for me to be able to help people in that way.

Janet: Yeah. That’s excellent. I love how what you’re doing has evolved from you actually working with people, and listening to what it is that they wanted, and what they needed, and responding.

Joanne: Yes. Crucial.

Janet: Yeah, that’s brilliant. Well, let’s have a look at our connection. What programs have you done of mine that’s meant that we’ve connected?

She is the author of “How to be a Ballet Dancer”, an information filled book for the teenage dancer. She is also the director of Ballet STARS Tamworth, the first dance school offering professional dance training in this area. Today, Mrs Alexandra is a sought after ballet adjudicator as well as master-class, mindset and classical repertoire teacher throughout Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Janet:               Hello, everybody, and welcome to Rising Stars Radio. I’m really excited about today’s interview. I’m interviewing Alexandra Cownie and Alex is the owner of International Ballet Workshops and How to be a Ballet Dancer.

I’m just so excited to share her story with you because if you’ve been thinking all these different excuses on why you can’t get things done, Alex is just going to blow them out of the water for you. It’s so wonderful to have you here, Alex. How are you?

Alexandra:       Good. Thank you, Janet. It’s very nice to be here today.

Janet:               It’s exciting. Now, Alex is such an amazing person. She’s been a performer, professional ballet dancer, and now, she’s actually become an author of the books, How to be a Ballet Dancer. She has become a very successful entrepreneur. She’s the founder of International Ballet Workshops, these bi-yearly workshops with world-class guest ballet masters, and she brings opportunities to even rural areas in Australia that just don’t normally get those opportunities. I know she’ll be telling us a little bit more about how she’s doing that through another company that she’s brought in.

So, Alex, tell us, let’s get started. I’d like to, if you could share with everybody who is listening who is it that you serve and how it is that you serve them. If I can just say before that to everybody that is listening, welcome. It’s so great to have you here. Our intention today is to really help you to get some ideas on what’s possible for you to do in your business, and to give you some actions that you can take away at the end of today and implement immediately into your business.

That’s my challenge to Alex, is to be able to get from her some really, really good tips that meant that she’s been able to create some great success in her business. So, let’s start, Alex. Who is it that you serve and how do you do that?

Alexandra:       All right. Basically, what I do is that I help teenaged ballerinas, so it’s mostly girls, but there’s a few boys, to have the opportunity to train and possibly get scholarship or job even in Europe or America, which is where the work is for ballet dancers, without having to leave Australia.

Because that’s the big issue that I’ve been noticed when I’ve been teaching as a guest teacher around Australia and New Zealand, is that all those dancers they are really well-trained,

Nick has been a member of our community pretty well from the very, very beginning when we started Wonderful Web Women. He has been active in taking action in what he does, but importantly in supporting everybody else in our community from the very beginning and continues to do that today. I’m really excited to introduce you to him. Hello, Nick. How are you?

Nick:                Hi, Janet. I am very well. Thank you. How are you?

Janet:               Yeah, I’m great. Nick and I were just talking before we got on the phone here. Nick lives up in the mountains and I live near the coast. Yeah, we’re just waiting for it to snow up where he is because it feels like it.

Now our intention today is to be able to give you, my beautiful listeners really, really actionable content, things that you can implement into your business this week. We’re going to try to do that in about 20 minutes. Nick and I are going to get stuck straight into it and we’re really going to focus on being to help you to be able to take action really simply and be able to start getting results.

Let’s dive straight in, Nick. Would you mind telling us a little bit about yourself, who you are, who you help and how do you do that?

Nick:                Sure. As you mentioned, Nick Cownie, that’s my name. Essentially when I explain what I do to people, I usually say I’m a business coach, but that’s just because it’s easy to explain. Really I’m much more than that. My wife and I run a group of companies from home, up here in the Blue Mountains. We’ve got four companies between us at the moment, each of them is minimum six-figure business and we run them all around our two beautiful kids who are just under 2 years old and 5.

In my coaching business, I help service professionals, anyone who is essentially working face to face with clients and would like to leverage that in some way because maybe they’re sick of chasing prospects or selling their time for money, getting a little bit tired of the face-to-face delivery. I help them take what they know, what they’re an expert at, and build a six- or seven-figure business out of that that they can run in their spare time.

It’s really fun and essentially, I do that by showing them three things. It’s great to have you here and I’m really excited to introduce you to my guest today, Sam Beau Patrick. Now Sam has been a member of our community for quite a few years now. We also have some mutual friends as well.

The thing that I’ve always loved about Sam is throughout all of that time that I’ve known her and I’ve been watching her business evolve, is her incredible passion for what she does is absolutely unwavering. To start and drive straight in Sam, would you mind sharing with us all who it is that you help and how it is that you do that?

Sam:                Yes, I’ve got a strong medical history – nursing, pharmacology, got the science behind me I guess as a practitioner. About 13 years ago, I’ve always had a passion for natural medicine and that’s where I branched out on my own and started my own business as a naturopath-herbalist and nutritionist with a background of nursing and oncology.

My absolute passion is actually helping women understand why we respond the way we do in social situations when we’ve eaten certain foods, and really giving women the understanding that we can have the life we want to have. Regardless of what’s going around us, if we get our understanding about our life and what results we get from certain actions. I’m a health coach. I’ve written now five books. Ruth:                I’m very well, Janet. Thank you so much for that introduction. You say it has been a while. I don’t know about you, that makes me feel a bit old.

Janet:               It’s funny, because I think I started Wonderful Web Women about seven years ago, and we’ve had a few, I wouldn’t call them reincarnations or incarnations, it’s been adapting and growth to what people have been wanting, so it started off as a search for role models and interviewing other people, and so people said, “Look, it’s great you’ve got all these people that want to learn from you, Janet, your technique,” and then that has evolved as I’ve got clearer on it. The nice thing is people like you, Ruth, who started there wanting to learn from case studies from inspirations has stayed all that way through, and it seems longer than it is. Paul: Hi Janet and anyone listening, I’m fantastic, really excited. I bet you’ve been excited about this for a few days now. Well longer, but really excited. It’s fantastic to be here and have the opportunity to share some information with everyone.

Janet: That’s fantastic, and that’s probably something that’s very distinctive about Paul. He’s very active in our private Facebook group, which is for customers only. He’s always very enthusiastic and excited about sharing really good tips, and also for just helping people. Really sharing, helping people as much as he can from his experience.

Our intentions today, Paul and I, is to give you as much value as we can. Insights that Paul can share with you from his journey of growing his business and marketing it, and so that you can actually learn from his experience. We’re are going to try to do this in about 20 minutes, so we’ll short and sharp, and to be total content for you. Paul: In a nutshell, I help business people, and especially woman both on and offline to actually some use Video. Using video and all forms of videos, as a powerful communication tool for their business. They get more customers, to increase their profits, and build a business obviously. That’s what I do.

Janet: Because you’ve got, how many years experience have you got with video?

Paul: I started back in the 80’s, and so it’s like 30 years, but on and off for a lot of that time. For the last 12 years, full time in my business of Vision Quest Video Productions, commercially, and I’ve be doing wedding videos now for 15 years, 20 years. I’m very excited to just introduce you today to the beautiful Melissa Groom from the Empowered Mums Network. Melissa has been a part of our wonderful web community I reckon nearly from the very beginning that we started working together, so that was quite a few years ago now. It’s just been lovely to watch Melissa’s business change, that change from an initial niche to moving over to a different niche as she started to get confidence in her skills that she had. Then to see the evolution of her brand and see the evolution of her as a businesswoman has just been so wonderful to be watching that and to also be part of it.

Melissa: Hi, Janet. Thank you so much for having me. I was just thinking back. I think it’s been nearly 5 years that we’ve been together. Yeah.

Janet: Wow. Yeah, it has been. Right. Oh, and it’s been a special 5 years. Our goal today is to try to give as much value today to people that are listening; so, welcome, beautiful listeners. We’re going to try to be able to give you as much value in about 20 minutes, more or less, so we’re going to cut straight to the chase. Our idea here is to be able to give you some really practical tips and inspiration from Melissa as she shares her journey, the things that have worked, the things that she’s changed, so you can get some ideas of things that you can be implementing in your own business as you’re marketing and building a business online.

To start off with, Melissa, would you mind sharing with everybody who it is that you help and how it is that you do that?

Melissa: Okay. I help women in business who have got a message that they want to share with the world and are willing to step up and play bigger game. I do that through helping them use the power of video and connecting and building a community.

Janet: Great. You primarily work with businesswomen who are also mothers, I’d say, by your name …

Melissa: Yeah.

Janet: … because they’ve got very different challenges that come with balancing those different roles, as I can attest to, being a mother of two. I know that people will be curious to know the way that you deliver your programs, because there are so many different models that you can use to build your business, so many different business models. How is it that you help people? Do you work with them one-on-one? Do you have programs that they buy, then go home and study?

Now Gail has been one of the wonderful Web community for years now. She’s been part of many of our programs. Janet: Yeah. Now, to get started, would you mind sharing with people, who it is that you help and how it is that you do that? For people who are listening, if you think I’m diving in straightaway, it’s because, Gail, my intention is to try to give you the maximum value today we can to help you to build your business. We’d like to do that in about 20 minutes or less, so we’re just going to cut straight to the chase. Tell us Gail, who it is that you help and how is it that you do that?

Gail: I’m a Speech Pathologist and I have a special interest in working with people with disabilities, in particular children who can’t communicate. I have been doing that in the state based government services and in not-for-profit organizations. I’ve moved recently into private practice, so that I can help people in new and different ways. I work with people, parents and children with disabilities, and I have a telepractice, which means that I see people all over Australia and sometimes even the world.

I meet with them on Skype and help them to implement strategies that will help their children learn to communicate.

Janet: So, this telepractice idea, is that common in your industry? Is that something that everybody does?

Gail: No. No, it’s quite new and I think only in the last few years has Skype Internet Services really given us the space and the broadband to have good conversations over it. It’s really and emerging area of practice.

Janet Beckers: Hello and welcome everybody. It’s Janet Beckers here and it’s great to welcome you here to the Rising Stars radio show. I have a beautiful guest to share with you today, Anthea Frances. Hello Anthea it’s wonderful to welcome you.

Anthea: Hi Janet, thanks so much for having me on the show. It’s a pleasure to be here.

Janet Beckers: I’m really, really excited to have your here. I just know, everybody that’s listening, you’re really going to get some really, really good tips here today. Anthea has been a part of our community, the Wonderful Web Women community for not quite a year yet. I’ve just been so impressed with the big leaps that she’s taken, that’s taken her business from being a blogger who was giving great value to people, but I’ve watched her in the last 4 months to build herself a really credible, sizable lift, and to give herself great choices. To actually make an impact, and to be positioned as a leader in her area.

That is a huge thing that she’s been able to do that only comes from not just having strategies, but from backing yourself, and from really taking good actions. That’s going to be our focus today is actually to hear how has Anthea done that and to get some really, really good tips for you. Our intention today is to try and give you as much value as possible in about 20 minutes, so we’re going to get stuck straight into it. Anthea, would you mind sharing with everybody who it is that you help, and how is it you do that.

Anthea: Absolutely. Well, just to backtrack just slightly, because I think this makes a difference in terms of the people that I help. I mean the people that I help, mostly women, although I do get a number of men, it’s people that are struggling with their health like I was 3 or 4 years ago, up to 3 or 4 years ago. They are really just so over the whole traditional medical model, and even the natural health model to a certain extent. They are really looking for options to improve their health in the way that I was. They are the people I help. Mostly the people I help are in that between 30 and 55 age group. People who are struggling with their health.

Often they have families and they are really interested in qa raw food diet but they just, like me, don’t have the time for all those crazy recipes that you find online with dehydrators,
