    Family Worship Guide
    Memory Verses: James 4:15-17
Day 1: Read Gen. 31:13, 33:18-20 and discuss: Examine yourself. What was the last thing that God clearly revealed to you, through the Holy Spirit and His Word? Are you still walking in obedience? Or, is there need for repentance?
Day 2: Read Gen. 34 and discuss: What are some clear examples of lines you’ve drawn with your family (or, as a non-father: lines that have been drawn in your family)? What is the reason for these boundaries? Does your family understand why there are certain things that are off-limits in your household? Recount an example from your past (or someone you know) of compromise and/or world assimilation. Discuss the lessons your family could learn from this situation.
Day 3: Read Gen. 35:1-4 and discuss: Examine yourself (whether you are a father or not). What sin(s) used to characterize your life? What sin is something that you are actively trying to put-off, but is not completely put-off, yet? What sin do you need to repent of? What do you need to seek forgiveness for? When was the last time you confessed sin to someone else in your family (or to a close friend)? When you feel discouraged because of sin, what kind of response from you would glorify God and exalt Christ?

Day 1: Read Luke 10:17-20 & Isaiah 14:9-17 and discuss: Consider your own life. When was the last time you acted sinfully prideful after a victory - or were at least tempted to? How would you explain the sin of pride to a child? How would you help them understand how all pride is not necessarily sinful?
Day 2: Read Luke 10:17-20 & Isaiah 14:9-17 and discuss: What desires prompted Lucifer’s fall from heaven? What were the results of his desires? Examine yourself prayerfully. What are your desires? If they are godly desires, are you currently experiencing any temptations to fulfill your godly desires in a sinful manner?
Day 3: Read Luke 10:17-20 and discuss: In what particular way do we -today- have victory over the “spiritual serpent”? What should we rejoice in even more? What specific sin should our salvation put to death?

  • Science & Christianity (Part 2)
    (Keith Rice teaching)
The continuation of a discussion regarding the limitations of science and its implications for Christians living in a world that highly venerates science, sometimes to a point of idolatry.
Questions such as the following will be discussed:
Is science a source of knowledge?
Can science prove or disprove Christianity?
Is science a Christian endeavor or an atheistic endeavor, since when we perform science we assume that only the natural world exists?
Should science shape how we interpret scripture?”

  • Ambassadors of Peace
    Luke 10:4-16—Ambassadors of Peace
    Lesson 1: Christ’s ambassadors:
    (Part I) __________ __________ between God and man (Luke 10:5-6; 2 Cor 5:18-20; Rom 5:1, 10; Eph 6:15).
(Part II) Are ________________ men (Luke 10:10-11 cf. Luke 9:53-55; Deut 20:10-13).
    Lesson 2: ______________________________ determines judgment (Luke 10:12-15, 12:47-48).
    Family Worship Guide
    Memory Verses: Proverbs 15:1
Day 1: Read Luke 10:4-16 and discuss: What specific instruction in regards to “greeting” was meant to communicate the urgency of their mission? In what sense did the 70 mean “peace” for those they would encounter? Consider your own circle of influence (those you encounter from your closest family, to familiar people you run into on your errands: which ones are not at peace with God, through the Gospel? Pray for opportunities to share the gospel with them.
Day 2: Read Luke 10:4-16 and discuss: Why were the 70 able to peaceful men? When men rejected “them”, who were they actually rejecting? When was the last time you felt - or were tempted to feel - rejected because you shared the gospel with someone? Pray. Ask God to give you an opportunity to share the gospel and ask Him to save the person you share it with. Ask Him also for help to not take the (potential) rejection personally.
Day 3: Read Luke 10:4-16 and discuss: Consider your own life. The last time someone ‘rejected’ you for being a Christian was it for sharing the gospel, or was it because of some political opinion you were advocating for? Consider your own life. What are you known for? Sharing the gospel, as an ambassador of Christ, or some set of political preferences, as a conservative, American? Also, why does accountability determine judgment? Prayerfully consider what specific ways this applies to you.
