What was your response? What was the outcome?
    Day 2: Read Luke 6:39 & Matthew 23:24: What is the connection between these two verses? When it comes to the faults of others, what are many prone towards? Describe certain relationships or situations where you’ve not been merciful. Aside from God’s mercy to you, by the gift of salvation, recount personal experiences of having received mercy.     Day 2: Read Luke 6:27-31 & 1 Cor. 13 and discuss: Examine your relationships and identify at least one person whom you don’t like and/or struggle loving (biblically). Brainstorm specific ways to demonstrate love to them; discuss these with the others in your group and pray together for the opportunity to do some of these things.
    Day 3: Read Matthew 25:14-30 and discuss: Why was the servant called lazy & wicked?  Compare and contrast what other major religions or religious leaders have said that is similar to what Jesus said in Luke 6:31. What is significant about the differences? How do you think you need to apply this difference in your life, this week?

    Day 1:       Read Romans 3:23, and Romans 6:23 and discuss the common condition of sin and its consequences.  Can sinful people enter the presence of a Holy God?  Read John 3:14-18 and discuss God’s solution for sin; Jesus payment of our sin debt.  How can you escape the everlasting punishment of sin?
    Day 2:       Read Proverbs 13:20 and 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 and discuss.  Answer Paul’s question: “What part has a believer with an unbeliever?”  What does it mean to ‘come out from among them and be separate?  Discuss different “levels” of friendship (acquaintance, casual, close and intimate).
    Day 3:       Read Proverbs 29:25 and Matthew 26:69-75 and discuss.  Why would Peter be intimidated by a servant girl?  Discuss social pressure, and the fear of man versus trusting in Jesus.  Daniel and his friends stood alone.  What does it mean to “stand alone”?
