March 2nd, 2022. Ash Wednesday. Lent is a journey back to God. Not tomorrow, though, but today! “Now is a very acceptable time, now is the day of salvation.” This NOW is the only decisive time for love. God breathes His Spirit of Life on our “dust”, He re-creates us and lead us through the desert, giving us a new principle of life. (Jl 2:12-18; 2 Cor 5:20-6:2; Mt 6:1-6,16-18)

Feb 27th, 2022, Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time, C. Today we’re invited to take care of our hearts, realizing the disconnection between what we end up claiming to know about others and what we have to deal with within our own hearts. “From the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Sir 27:4-7; Lk 6:39-45)

Feb 13th, 2022, Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time, C. Jesus raises His eyes. With one glance, He teaches us, His disciples, to lift up our eyes in the midst of hardships of life. (Jer 17:5-8; 1 Cor 15:12,16-20; Lk 6:17,20-26)

Feb 6th, 2022, Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, C. It is a ‘Holy Fire’, something ‘from God’ that is freely shared with a sinful man. And thus, a Divine spark is ignited, kindled deep within a poor human heart. ‘Whom shall I send?’ ‘Put out to deep waters’. Trusting in His Mercy and Grace, we can say: ‘Here I am! Send me!’ (Isaiah 6:1-2a,3-8; 1 Cor 15:1-11; Lk 5:1-11)

Jan 30th, Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time, C. “It is Love that has explained everything to me.” (St. John Paul II) Love enables us, as Christians, as missionaries, as prophets, to withstand all hardships and be faithful to our mission, whatever it is. (Jer 1:4-5,17-19; 1 Cor 12:31-13:13; Lk 4:21-30)

Jan 16th, 2022, Second Sunday in Ordinary Time, C. Today’s readings reveal a “spousal” framework. Life is enriched and embellished by Otherness and Unity. The Virgin Mary, with the tenderness of a “spouse soul”, sees our needs and presents them to the Divine Bridegroom, Her Son, Jesus Christ. (Is 62:1-5; 1 Cor 12:4-11; Jn 2:1-11)

Jan 9th, 2022, The Baptism of the Lord. The Pilgrim of Heaven came all the way down to save us. Today, we read that He travels down from Galilee on a journey that leads Him to the Jordan River, one of the lowest points on planet Earth. God’s self-abasement is beyond evident. Jesus goes all the way into the muddy waters of the Jordan to purify and sanctify us! (Lk 3:15-16, 21-22)

Jan 2nd, 2022, The Epiphany of the Lord. The Magi go through a crucial journey: from the cosmos to the Face, from the contemplation of a star to the contemplation of the Face of the Almighty God! The Divine Face hidden beneath the simplicity of a Baby Boy. (Is 60:1-6; Ps 72; Eph 3:2-3,5-6; Mt 2:1-12)

Dec 25th, 2021, Christmas Day. “Do not send me any more messengers; they cannot tell me what I must hear… May my eyes behold You, because You are their light, and I would open them to You alone.” (St. John of the Cross) God no longer sends messages or messengers. In times past, He spoke through the prophets. Now, He speaks to us though the Son! “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us, and we saw His Glory!” (Is 52:7-10; Heb 1:1-6; Jn 1:1-18)
