The primary reason for Jesus' coming into the world was to reconcile mankind to God, and redeem him from the ravages of sin and from eternal destruction. Predictions about the second coming of Christ are found throughout the Bible. The Bible is unequivocal about our Lord Jesus Christ's second coming, telling us about the events that will usher in this momentous second coming. In this podcast, Dr. Charles Abiodun makes it clear that just as the numerous predictions of Christ's first advent were fulfilled, in like manner, predictions concerning the second advent will be fulfilled, at the fullness of time. Jesus' parable of the ten virgins is not only instructive, but deserves close attention and learning from the lessons it provides. Five of the ten virgins, who were wise, had adequate oil while the remaining five, who were foolish, had to go in search of oil at the arrival of the bridegroom they were all waiting for. This state of unpreparedness if these foolish virgins deprived them of being part of the wedding ceremony. Mountains are often symbolic of obstacles and challenges on an individual's pathway, and they are in place to impede movement and progress. They often require extra efforts to overcome. Today's Morning Devotion emphasizes how these mountains can pose a challenge and an obstacle to progress if the strength to overcome them is not available. It points to the strength available in God as the solution needed in overcoming these mountains. Jesus, while departing this world at His first advent, made it clear that there are many mansions in heaven, and that He was going to heaven to prepare the mansions for those who believe in Him. Believers have been called to live victoriously in this world that is inclined to the dictates of the devil. They are expected to let their light shine, dispelling the darkness of the world. Believers in Christ Jesus have been called to be ambassadors for the Kingdom of God, to be ambassadors for Christ. They have been mandated to promote the good interests of the Kingdom here on earth, the primary one of which is the preaching of the gospel for the purpose of bringing God's salvation to mankind. Today's Morning Devotion emphasizes this mandate, and the need for every believer to walk in fulfilling it, faithfully and diligently, as ambassadors of God and of Christ. July 25, 2023.

Jesus' first coming was prophesied long before His advent; in the fullness of time, He came as prophesied. In a similar manner, His second coming has been prophesied in numerous passages of scripture, and like the prophecy of the first advent was fulfilled, that of the second will also be fulfilled. It is a general knowledge that all power belongs to God. He is the Creator of all, and in Him resides all authority and power. No man can challenge Him in the exercise of His power as He is not answerable to any. Dr. Charles Abiodun makes it clear, in this podcast, that God has delegated this power and authority to Jesus, His Son, by whom all things were created. He also makes it clear that Jesus, in turn, has delegated this power and authority to His brethren, the believers, to exercise on His behalf, on the earth.
